I got palpitations yesterday for a few seconds when I first laid down in bed flat on my back.  I sat back up and they went away.

Probably just a slight glitch of the autonomic nervous system.

How does it feel? I have sometimes this feeling like my heart beats between the beats and I feel it somewhere in my chest.  ???

That's exactly how it felt for me, just like my heart beat was funny.  I sat up and it was gone, then laid flat again and it came back for a second then went away.  :-X

Extrasystoles. Several possible reasons, often time it's nothing serious, just stress. If it happens often, let it have checked out.

:o

usually its not a big deal
often occurs when you are calorie-deficient
or
hypovolemic (low fluids/blood fluid volume)

if it persists, you may want to have a physical
