seems like nothing

why isn't there anything in Western Europe, Russia and China? Seems like the only thing in Eurasia is a spot in the Caucasus. Very odd.

and theres nothing in the West of Africa and South America.

And nothing in Canada except on the Washington/BC border.

What about the Eastern US?

Check out the paragraph on the chart.  The area in North Africa alone would be able to power all of Europe.

I'm not really familiar enough to know, but something tells me that if it were this simple, a private company would have already made it happen.

Completely powering North America from those 3 little areas?  That's a capitalists dream come true.  One company could  control all US power.

Makes me skeptical.

Imagine how long it would take to fill one square mile with solar panels (massive amount of labor and materials). 

Let alone 100 square miles...  :-\
