For Robby, it was about the feel, not the weight used.
-
I've used it once or twice before but that was around 6 years ago. From what I remember it just felt awkward.
-
I did in high school and with a small hard core type gym I used to train at but haven't really seen it lying around over the past 7 or 8 years.
Regardless, I would say it's a good piece of equipment to change a bicep routine up a bit.
-
I used it back in the day.It was kind of awkward, and uncomfortable to use at first , until you got used to it.Everybody used to them back in 1982-1989.Anything that claims to make your arms bigger sold.Any body knows that.
When you first start training what bodypart do you like to train the most Arms???????? Right.

seems like a good way to bring out the tricep bulge while performing the bicep curl. Can anyone think of any other uses for it?
-
sucks at the gym, great at the tattoo shop
-
?
Hell yeah my old gym had like two of them , I never really got into using but my cousin like it he used to walk around with it on even when he was done doing biceps lol but he did the same with the head strap and the dip belt
-

Didn't you also mention that you've been using it as a portable bar-stool?
-
Yeah, like people said, it's awkward. It is like a doing preacher curls, in that you don't, or can't use as much weight as you would without it. It forces you into a strict curling movement.

wow, look at those arms. I'll have to purchase an arm blaster immediately. I'm sure it will make all of the difference.
-
Schwarzenegger still likes em and they have value. Much like a preacher bench. Sometimes they can hurt the lower back a little on standing curls, i like them best on incline DB curls where it takes a lot of the front delts out of the exercise.

I'd actually use the thing if it was around. all of my arm training is done with a single barbell these days.

The arm blasters are great for putting extra meat on your arms. A lot of people think its just for biceps but it also maintains proper form if you're doing tricep pulldowns as well.
And yes, they are still around and I still carry them.

-
I've used one.....didn't feel the movement correctly while using it.

lol...... stupid fucker
-
I just beat the shit out my dog with one ;D
-
I actually have an arm blaster that I keep in my locker and I use it most arm days. I like it because it prevents me from cheating on my curls. I've never used it for pushdowns, but I think I might give that a try. Good idea whoever said that.
-
Not needed if you have good form.
-
If you train with weight Relatively lighter than what u ussually lift, then it works, youll really feel the biceps 100 % doing all the work, but dont go heavy cause the thing would become an obstacle rather than a helping tool.
Its useless for triceps.
