I'll start.
1. Kai. I think Kai is the most willing to put his body at harm to win. I think he's on a mission to win and will do whatever it takes.
2. Dexter. The razor gets a gift.
3. Heath. Condition, Condition, Condition. He needs to do more shows to learn his diet and get his timing down.
4. Martinez. Hungry, but his knee will let him down.
5. Cutler. The plug has been pulled from this fridge.
Extra.
6. Wolf. Should have been first or second, but for some reason gets screwed again and again
-
this happens every year. Everybody predicts wild changes. Then, when the results are listed, it's always the same as last year with small changes in the top 6. Every time. One new guy gets in, and the other 5 seem to just hang out right about where they finished last year.
Will kai be suicidal shredded and will phil be crazy huge? yes.
Will dex and jay fight for 1-2? probably.
-
Hmmmmm, here is my pick - two guys that should be fighting for top 5 (politics excluded)...
-
Hide got ripped off in the lat show could Chick be responsible?
-
Hmmmmm, here is my pick - two guys that should be fighting for top 5 (politics excluded)...
if joel had a pair of quads id agree with you milos.........thats all he needs, his hams are actually pretty good and his upper body is second to none, and he gets in great conditon....but those quads are pitiful.

Bicycle in the morning...for cardio...Motorcycle for lazy SOB's...with fast metabolism...? Three-cycle for drunks that can't find balance...

LOL at Hide and Stubbs in the "O" top 5. I mean, they've both done amazing things with what they have to work with, but they are absolutely ZERO competition for anyone in the top 6.
-

Hmmm, his quads are over 30 inches....cold...
Mine were never that big...yet many considered I had/have ;) world class quads...(not that I disagree with "many"...but...)

LOL....
Guess the "politics" are excluded, when they happen to be Milos' guys...what a coincidence
-
This should be a lesson to all.Take a look at Stubbs he is beyond most training in the world today and he WON'T place doesn't that tell you all something??Put down the syringe you ain't never gonna make it in Pro BB.FACT.
-
Stubbs has such an exceptional back , really amazing

Hmmmmm, here is my pick - two guys that should be fighting for top 5 (politics excluded)...
With respect Milos, neither is remotely close to being top 5 material. As for Joel's quads, what they tape at is irrelevant. It's how they appear in relation to his physique that matters. In that regard, they are deficient.

exactly what i was going to respond to milos with.
his quads need another 4 or 5 inches to even begin to not look overmatched by that GYfuckinNOrmous upper body.

Like ARNOLD...or Lee Haney...?
-
Sorry Milos, Joel is all back - I don't think his arms are that good or his chest for that matter. And his legs maybe huge but they have a funny shape - which is why maybe they appear to be so poor.
-
Like ARNOLD...or Lee Haney...?
You're really going to equate Arnold and Lee Haney with Joel Stubbs? The standards for lower body were different in Arnold's era. Even so, I would still suggest Arnold as being more balanced than Stubbs. The same goes for Haney. Joel has an impressive physique in certain respects, but he is extremely imbalanced and should not be mentioned in the same breath as 7 and 8 time Olympia champs.

Milos guys?
My guys are YOUR IFBB ATHLETES you suppose to care for ass-wipe...
POLITICS EXCLUDED and FAIR JUDGING INCLUDED would be my preference - and has NOTHING to do who I am working with or not...
As you have announced on athletes meeting at Mr.0 2006 - with majority of IFBB pros present (read 5 - Darrem, DJ, Jayson Arntz, myself and YOU BOBBY...! As usual...in sign of great support and care for what YOU are NOT doing for IFBB athletes - no ifbb pros would even bother coming to your meetings...Ever wondered why?):
ONE THING WE WERE FIGHTING FOR - was FAIR JUDGING and OPPORTUNITY TO COMPETE - simply by having MORE COMPARISONS.
You confirmed at that meeting that starting 2007 IFBB judges will compare much, much more...so much so that in any given ifbb pro competition top ten guys will be compared against each other - as MANDATORY part of competition...so everyone will have fair chance.
Well, 2007 season started with Ironman and top one was compared to himself and I think second and third had "lunch break" so they were not bothered being compared to others...There was not even ten TOTAL comparisons...let alone promised top ten all being compared to each other...
I was there watching you NOT doing anything AS USUAL worth mentioning - in behalf of the athletes...
Later that year Mr. Olympia came about and "my guy" Dennis Wolf, Rightfully Mr. O 2007 - was denied a chance to be compared with Jay!?!?
Top 5 Mr. Olympia finisher - who was peoples choice on Internet, and choice of majority in Las Vegas Mr. O Audience (well, those people who were having eyes open to be exact...)...
How and why Dennis didn't get a single comparison to Jay...is beyond me and above you...or vice versa...? Hmm, never mind...
-

Besides having better arms, delts, back, abs, chest, hamstrings, calves, glutes, size, V-taper, conditioning...etc...?
OK than...as you suggest... ::)

That guy has a weird looking body all the way around

Milos, do you actually believe that the Big fella( STUBS) stand a chance in this tough Olympia line up?.......Tony freeman is the best looking big&tall Giant on stage by far

Yeah Milos...YOUR guys, you know the guys you alledgedly help to win shows, but somehow...they all seem to look better and win shows AFTER they dump you and move on....i.e.- Silvio, Dennis, Gustavo, etc, etc.
Of course it's beyond you...your most recent claim that you believe that under fair judging that Joel and Hide belong in the top 5 show just how warped you are...with all due respect to both gentlemen who are very good athletes...to suggest that they are comparable to the top 6 projected, only makes you look foolish (as usual)...
The callouts have been much better since that meeting, and my proposal to the League to increase comparisons. The fact that YOUR athletes always seem to get shafted only emphasises the obvious...that you are so biased, it's laughable.
-
Not an expert but something ain't right with Stubbs' appearance
Too damn big - maybe?
-
Stubbs look his best ever for sure
never liked his look before as he was lacking separation to go with his mass.
now that he corrected that he looks great
-

OK than...as you suggest... ::)
It's not merely a bodypart contest. How the entire physique is put together and flows has a dramatic impact on how the physique is projected. I'm not knocking Joel by any means, but his imbalances are glaring; enough so that he has not become the force he otherwise could be. With regard to both Joel and Hide, top 5 in the O is just a little far fetched, in my estimation.
-
bump.
more predictions?
and lol @ hide and joel in top 5
16'th place locked more likely
-
IMO this will be a good "O".....every thread has someone different going the distance, Dex, Phil, Kai and even a few Cutler's regaining the title........
There will be a shocker this yr...maybe not #1 but someone will surprise us all in the top 4/5.
Top 4 in no order
Dex
Phil
Kai
Moe Elmoussawi (this is my suprise dark horse)
-

100% correct
Ive definetly noticed a change in the callouts since then and I appreciate it very much. Chick is doing a great job.
-
Damn Stubbs is looking good... and HUGE! Seeing him up close and in person is impressive... Realistically though, top 10 would be a big accomplishment for either Hide or Joel in this competitive line-up.
My top 6 (in order):
6-Dennis Wolf
5-Victor
4-Jay
3-Dex
2-Phil
1-Kai
-
Hmmmmm, here is my pick - two guys that should be fighting for top 5 (politics excluded)...
hahhahahahah............ ..most funniest statment i have ever heard.

Message that I was sending was AS ALWAYS:
I am fighting FOR athletes and for the SPORT...
Let the games begin...and the best man win...was Olympic spirit for over a century...
POLITICS...and especially bodybuilding (read: beyond subjective) politics is what I want to focus on...
These 6 above mentioned IFBB pros are just SPECTACULAR...Each guy could very easily be holding Sandow statue less than two weeks from now...as the winner of the most prestigious contest in the world.
But, there are so many more that have earned their right to COMPETE at the Mr. Olympia...and some are considered here just to be "stage decoration" so to speak...Guys that would never be called out and compared, simply as they don't belong to politically recognized ELITE group...
But, look at guys that are top 6 material...and realize that just few years back - there were NEVER considered to be ELITE...until they showed up "jacked and ready to rock and roll"...
Well, there are few others that would only ask for one thing: chance to compete...Comparisons...
That is SPORTING part of otherwise entertaining-type of the event, pro bodybuilding shows have become...
EVERYONE WANTS to see comparisons, athletes, fans, media, photographers...ATHLETES, FANS...IFBB PRO ATHLETES - oh, I already said that...
So, why don't we have MORE of that SPORTING part of the show...where athletes and the audience could ENJOY COMPETITION...
Guys going pose for pose against each other...?
I am sure above mentioned 6 athletes would NOT MIND giving chance to every qualified Olympia competitor to have a shot at them...
They are confident in their abilities...and IF better they would have just MORE opportunities to prove their superiority...
Are we going to hear AGAIN - oh so believable explanation that: the reason why we didn't have more comparisons was - we were running out of time.... ??? ::) Jesus...Christ... :-X
Give EVERY competitor chance to show the world how they "measure up" next to ELITE group...that's all...
After all Mr. Olympia is qualifying event...and these athletes have pleased those same judges earlier in the year - to earn their right to compete...so are they going to have a chance...or...some rumors about certain political decisions would "just happen"....
For example - guy that is NOT on any top six list will surprise everyone and somehow make the finals...Now, how would I know that...?
I am member of IFBB politically informed individuals...as I just like to stick my nose where does belong...
Can M.R. make top 6....?
Don't bet against it...
-
hahhahahahah..............most funniest statment i have ever heard.
Hey Asian...are you myth or meat?
-
M.R ?
-
M.R ?
Marcus Ruhl? Is he even doing the show?! (I hope so)
Milos, I agree... More comparisons would only benefit the athletes and the fans!
-
Hey Asian...are you myth or meat?
i respect u for ur role in exposing Rat(chua). But this statement is far too out of line.i know u training both guys and it is natural to have sympathy 4 them.there is no freaking way these guys could ever i mean ever make it to top 6 Olympia.don't let Ur sympathy blind u don't give them false hopes.Be honest tell them what they can or cant achieve.
As of comparison in Olympia let the guys earn it.it would be foolish from judging point of view to ask for comparison between dexter and the guy who is not going to make even top 15.
u have only one valid point and that is not comparing Dennis with cutler in 2007 Olympia.that smells littel fishy.
-
wolf will win.
-
Not an expert but something ain't right with Stubbs' appearance
something aint right with your appearence too ::)

Stubbs has great upper quads. It just seems either due to his injury or/and genetics that they seem to attach very high above the knee making them narrow from the side. Very unfortunate as you can't make that area grow but the other part will grow which accentuates it. Hams and everything else are top notch. Has a back that might be the best of all time. Hide is can be a top 10 guy but a smaller guy conditioned guy w/ good shape will rarely or never beat bigger conditioned guys with good shape. The key for him in that top 10 is someone being off with conditioning.
Here's my list as of now. I hate putting Martinez 5th but if his leg was back up to 100% Chad would have said it on PBW instead of saying its "much better". Warren is my wild card he can be anywhere on my list from 10 to top 3 depending on judging.
Heath or Kai
Jackson
Cutler
Wolf
Martinez
Freeman
Warren
Melvin
Badell
Alves

wolf will win.

2.Woolfe
3.Wolvenstine
4.Woollfffffffffffffffff fffffff
5.Woolf Woolf
6.Moe Elmoussawi
-
exactly and his quads may be 30" he's also 6'4" huge discrepancy between upper & lower body balance
exactly.
ND getting it right for once :)
the judges dont care or know if his quads are 30 inches nor do they care about or know his bodyweight
the bottom line is Stubbs has a great back but his flaws are a blocky waist, arms too small for his torso and severely undersized quads and calves compared to his upper body

-
What about Nasser?
no no those are nassers picks..
Everybody knows Nasser could waltz on stage with no prep and be crowned Mr O..
-
Not an expert but something ain't right with Stubbs' appearance
Milos-Stubbs won't make top six. He is huge and ripped but his legs look odd because his quads seem to attach halfway up his thigh rather than at the knee.
But about the 2007 Olympia... You are right -how can they compare 1st Place (Cutler) with the guys who placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th but not compare with 5th place (Wolf)?
-
Hmmm, his quads are over 30 inches....cold...
Mine were never that big...yet many considered I had/have ;) world class quads...(not that I disagree with "many"...but...)
But you have/had extremely well developed lower quads. Due to genes most likely, Stubbs' are non-existent compared to yours.
-
I knew Chick wasn't actually gonna respond to what the title asked..
i think he will ;)

That's how I see it playing out.
But how it plays out versus how it SHOULD play out based on everyone being 100% you could swap a few people around, IMO.
Kai or Phil being #1
Dexter, Phil or Kai being #2
Dexter Kai or Jay #3
From there the placements can switch all over the place.
Anyway...let's wait for another week and a half and see what really happens. :)

Lunges on Smith - super slow and not knowing where would I move his foot (holding in my hands) - back, left, righ...in front, high off the ground....Every rep is the same as far as tempo (super slow) and execution (after super slow and controlled eccentric part (GOING DOWN) of the movement going ALL THE WAY DOWN [FULL RANGE OF MOTION!] so his knee will touch the ground and in that position - he would need to pause for as long as I call it (1-5 seconds usually)...Concentric part (GOING UP) starts with maximal contraction of "mover muscle" of choice - also my call (I would call GLUTES and he would try to disengage all the other muscle groups involved in this particular movement (or exercise)...As we know there are numerous muscles working in unison to perform certain movements - and all the primary muscle groups get help from secondarily involved, stabilizers/neutralizers or IN EXPERIENCED LIFTERS muscles that we concisely ISOLATE and use almost exclusively - IF we could establish mind-muscle connection and find the way to "shut-off" or at least drastically reduce involvement of supporting muscle groups...
So, in this exercise I would move his elevated foot in any direction I choose (anticipating direction of elevated foot would make this exercise easier...so I would never tell him where am I pulling his foot - far back...in front or either side...) - making him guess ...and perform each rep exactly as I say - slow on the way down, complete pause on the rock bottom position and than - using no momentum whatsoever or any power to get up...He would raise his body only as a consequence of super strong/maximal contraction of either ONE or more muscle groups - as I call it...or command.
Try it - and you'll see how difficult this exercise could be...(if you have asshole coach - like Hide does - who gives a flying fork if he is tired, wasted, depleted, or whatever else "I don't care to consider" type of excuse...or explanation many people would have in same situation...
Now, this was "finish" of the almost two hour GIANT SETS workout for legs...and Hide did 3 sets of ten reps with each leg - alternating after 10 reps - without any break in between...
Pics are not great but hopefully you'll get the picture...

don't most pros measure lower down, ronnie measures like 2/4s up and that 32 inches. If he measured at the top it would probably break 36 inches.

trust me its point less effort.he is making poor guy suffer just to prove how damn good coach he is.i bet with lot less effort same results could be produced.
Olympia is next week he should not be even training legs.what he is trying to do build new muscles in a week or try to burn fat with anaerobic training either way its foolish.

I was thinking the same thing. If the muscle isn't there by now, it's not going to come within the week prior to the contest. All the hard work should be done by now, with it just being a matter of dialing things in.
