Title: Ghost writers in the bodybuilding mags.
Post by: Determinator on September 16, 2009, 04:59:35 AM
Reading through some of the mags; MD, Flex etc, it baffles me when some of the *pros* (allegedly) write articles with fantastic English, when in vocal interviews, one would not imagine that they would (i.e, a lot of them seem a bit dense). One may deduce that they do not write a single word of the said articles, and merely 'agree' (due to contractual obligations) to the mags using ghost writers, mascerading as the *pros.* It is very shameful, on the part of the magazines if they do indeed employee so-called 'ghost writers,' as many readers may buy the aforementioned mags on the assumption that the said articles are written by their 'heroes.'

Are you saying the Arnold section in M&F is NOT written by the Governour of California?  :o :o

If I was a pro bodybuilder, I would DEMAND to write my own stuff - I would make it part of my contract to do so.

The guys that own the mags know why they don't allow the pros to do that.

How many former MD "athletes" came on Big Nation Radio who all had a Q & A in the back of MD before admit to us that they never once wrote a single word of their section.

Ron Harris or some other ghost writer does it all.

They don't follow the alleged diets, training routines, or supplement regiment either.
They have nothing to do with the content of the magazine other than having their pictures taken.

You catch on quick don't you?   In other news, scientists confirmed today that water is, indeed, wet.   ::)

I believe Branch Warren writes all his own material.  There is a poetic ruggedness to the man's prose.  His rough hewn hands turning out one insightful lifting treatise after another, the reader hanging on each of the Titan's words of bodybuilding wisdom.  He's not just a steel fortress of brawn, but a wellspring of intellect as well.

100% True. Yes.

All complete and utter bullshit. It's sad because for every 100 of us that learn the truth and move on from paying for their recycled hash and lie there are 1000 newbs waking up buying into it.

Hahaha...

Ask Ronnie in the magazines his stance on toe positioning during leg extensions and you get an answer like this:

The vastus lateralis which is parallel to the vastus mediallis ignites Type-1 and Type-2 fibers being fast and slow twitched. The creatine phosphate from the adensoine tri-phospahtes ignite with the sodium channel potassium-pump when the toes are in a direction perpendicular to the floor for which...

Ask Ronnie in PERSON about his stance on toe positioning during leg extensions and you get an answer like this:

"..well, you know it's all good I do all of it and you know, basically it's good, you know? "
