I just started training for the RAW Christmas Classic single lifts Bench Press, Deadlift, Strict Curl meet in Stanardsville, VA December 12.

APF Super Training Classic on Oct. 26, competing in the raw division.

Well....I bombed out in my first equipped bench comp yesterday. My first bomb out ever. Doubt it will be my last either :'(
I have WDFPF unequipped world champs in Milton Keynes, England on 14th November. Come 2010 I'll be competing equipped all the time

Well, I doubt I'll make the board proud. My last meet was in '94 a deadlift meet and I pulled around 410 in the 148's ( Missed weight at 132) I have not deadlifted since, till about a month ago when I decided to come back and compete again. Well after a mini cycle just to see where I was.... I barely pulled 230! ( my very first meet in '85 I pulled 315 & 132 for crying out loud) this was depressing enough to almost make me say never mind! But felt that was a cop out!
It is what it is! So just going to suck it up train and hit this meet and just go from there. For this reason I'm not going to train by % instead I'm just going to use reps I'm hoping I can gain it back faster then it took to get it in the beginning.
3 weeks doing 8 reps , then 5 weeks of 5 reps for a set or 2 depending on how the first set went will keep notes. And ending with 1 week of hitting a triple and the last week hitting a double.
Will base my opener off of what I do for the triple, my 2nd attempt based off what I do for the double
( give or take) So don't look for big numbers from me for a while! :P
P.S. I got a PM from someone forgot now because I already deleated it, but I don't seem to be able to reply to them. Or at least it's showing that I didn't reply. So if you didn't get it, sorry! I tried to reply. Hope you can make that meet in VA. in Dec.

i hope to enter the USAPL MD states but they haven't released a date as of yet. its the busy season at work so i have to beg for coverage, or i might just do it with no sleep!
my goal = not to bomb out!
hey burn, no sleep it just not a good situation for hitting PRs, or weight s you know you can do. don't let that shit eat you up, i am sure youwill be fine at your next lift.

got a pl meet in a month or so. goal is to get 661 @198 in the DL.
Few weeks later I got a bench only meet. If I stay at 198 I'd like to push 445. but may try to cut to 181. then I'd be happy with 405+

I replyed just seem to be having trouble getting them to send :-\ same problem on other sites to so must be something with my computer it is after all about as old as I am :P
ANYWAY..... even if you don't compete at that meet, hope you can stop by anyway.

goals = 350lb BP, 500lb DL.

here's the current plan..
do a the metroflex charity raw meet....
do a meet in february..then hit 100% tested nationals, unequipped...and maybe even APF if it's in the cards!!!

just got back. weighed in at 248. made all six lifts (should have pushed harder). best BP = 358: DL = 505. had alot left in the tank, esp. on the BP.
more importantly, had a great time. all the lifters were great, cheering like ive never heard. cant wait for meet #2.

Good stuff! Congrats! First comp is all about experience, when are you thinking of competing again? :P

thank guys, i really appreciate it. next meet will probably be end of january. i need to get a bench shirt and figure out how to use it. up those numbers a bit.

I promised an update:
Didn't peak for this meet since I've planned for one more full meet in a month or so.
As well as the benchpress meet that is only a few weeks away.
So competed as a 198'er.
Pressed 425 and pulled 595. Both lifts were fairly comfortable.
Felt pretty good.
