I've finally read a few books on Judaism, Mosaic Law is really interesting/thousands of years ahead of it's time.
I'm not especially religious, but if I was/decide to be, I might delve deeper into Judaism.
Any comments on Judaism?

No, that would be Abraham. Islam, Judaism, and Christianity are offshoots of the original Abrahamic message. Not sure about the christian/jewish beliefs but monotheism is believed by muslims to date as far back as the existence of human beings (represented in Adam).

haider are you saying that "Abraham" is a faith?
I agree that Judeo-Christian beliefs date back to Adam
But I thought Islam was started w/Mohammed? When was that?

I'm saying that the major monotheistic traditions are historically tracebable to Abraham. Islam is not believed to have been 'started' with Mohammed, but was in a sense renewed with him.

While modern Islam is tied to Mohammed, Muslims trace their roots back to Abraham as sons of Ishmael (Abraham's son with Hagar).
