Kevin, during the 90s, there used to be this writer in FLEX who wrote under the name of Steven London. Was that actually Peter McGough?

You've outed me for being a former Flex magazine reader ;D

That's the thing - I used to live in Australia back then and in the local edition of FLEX (which was based largely on the English version and not the US version), there were always articles and snippets written by Steven London who was very funny / witty. And the writing style was very similar to Peter's writing in Hard Times. Which is why I'm thinking it's just a pseudonym he used, cause the name "Steven London" is very generic, like "Johnny Fitness" or "John Citizen".
I later found a place that imported the US version of FLEX (which was better and had more content) and never saw anything by Steven London. Hence the question.

you'r thinking of the guy from 30 something

Outed.
Dammit, I was hoping you'd somehow miss this thread ;D

No idea but I would have thought McGough would have written under his own name.

Depends which current photographer you're referring to. If it's the one that does Weddings and Portraits, then no, I'm a different one :-)
-
No.
But the guy was a Brit, right? I liked his articles. Does he still write for some publication?

I always thought it was Chris Lund.

That's strange, because in some articles (including Olympia reports) he actually transcribed conversations between him and Chris (and sometimes, others, like Dorian Yates), where he flatters Chris and referred to him in the third person. Plus, I've read some of Chris' stuff and the writing style was completely different.
I always thought he was McGough because of the style of writing, the obvious British English, the humor and the fact that he wrote the Olympia reports (including the 93 Olympia). This is like trying to figure out who could be behind a gimmick here in Getbig ;D
