kai edges jay out because of his dominance from the back. but jay is much harder and more aesthetic than i think anyone was expecting. its up to politics..

Waist has improved dramatically.

i can't agree. kai;s back is strange attaches at the waist. he has a short upper body. jays back although not as sharp is wider and he got the wrinkles fixed. jay kills him from the front though. i think its jays show

kai has the most exaggerated X frame of everyone, and nobody has better conditioning or size, although a few match him on that. victor has the bext upper body v taper, but loses it on the legs. phil is too small to compete for the top, dexter as well. branch looks good but he just doesnt have the body to compete for the top sots. kai's weakness is his waist(which is imporved from the arnold) and his rear lat spread(his back is amazing in very other pose but it just doesnt get the width or detail in that shot)
jay is huge and freaky but his back double bicep lacks compared to kais, and so do his hamstrings in the side poses.

Kai looked small to me on prejudging webcast, in these pictures he looks much better, must be how dark he is geeez he's almost invisible on video.

Kai destroyed Phil, Dex, and Branch
he should have been in the last call-out next to Jay but I think they were trying to show Dexter respect

Kai definitely got better as the night wore on. But Jay simply outsized him and any advantage Kai had in conditioning was trivial.
Here is the link to the Flex comparisons. These along with the webcast show Jay on a whole different level than the rest. Kai could very well be in second.

the pictures taken of the stage give advantage to the other guys with less width on their backs from the front. kai has unbelievable width in that shot, but the photo is taken from below so it makes him lookos blocky and takes away form the taper. you have a good eye so your able to tell he is destroyin those guys there. this happened to victor at the 07 olympia with his front lat spread as well.

I guess that's why it's subjective. I thought Jay completely outsized everyone, including Kai. Kai may have an edge on conditioning, but not enough to make up for Jay's size advantage.
