I'm doing my first comp on October 10. I'm cut, down to 6%. I'm competeing light heavy. Will be 198 and am 5' 11". Have big thick legs but not much for lines/seperation. I've been advised to do lunges, sissy squats, Leg extensions every day to get 'em going. Also lots of stretching. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Personally......
I would perform db lunges when very few people are in the gym.
Lunge the length of the gym. Do 3-4 sets of the lunges, then move on to leg extensions. Don't perform any work for the legs 2 days out from the show!
Best of luck to you!

In addition, I'd try '7's'
on leg extension, do 7 reps from top to middle range
7 reps from bottom to middle range
and finally 7 reps full range
really, really squeeze at the top
this will bring some lines out

Are you REALLY at 6%??? You should have some pretty decent separation. Do your flexing, squeezing, posing.
Are you on low carbs?

I started doing lunges again today. The 7's sound promising, I'll try that tomorrow.
According to the digital calipers I'm 6%. I've always been a power lifter so I've ended up with large, strong, thick but very smooth legs.
Carbs at at 100gm a day until next week. Was at about 150gm for the last month. Here's a pic of me from today. Top and not matching bottom.

I'd throw in some hill sprints (3-4 times a week) - HIIT cardio on the bike...pose legs hard hard, stretching.

Can you take a pic where you are pinching the skin on the thigh and another where you are pinching just right of the navel. I'm curious about how thick or thin that skin is...
Could be that you are genetically ripped in the extremities of the UB, but not the lower. Still looks like fat.

C. upper body = looking good and just about contest ready.
Damn good for first contest.
I, too, agree with lunges and Super's advice.
Keep us informed on how you do.
Thanks.

All the advice is helping. Sprints every day, stretching, contracting on StairMaster. I'll sets of either lunges, sissy squats, squeezed leg extensions pretty much everyday. In addition to a very high rep leg day.
Here's my leg a couple days ago. As you can see it's vascular. I think with some color, oil, and less water I will end up looking not like I have the best legs on stage but WAY more balanced.
Thanks for all of your advice and encouragement!

STAIRMILL, and start hitting the sauna for as long as you can last. It will really make a difference and bring more lines out everywhere!
-
try doing more leg extension, stretch them alot and flex as hard and as long as you can,, also try running
-
not much u can do now bro, just get as lean as dry as u can get, and worry bout them legs in the offseason!

Very important,
- Do you still do cardio? Your bf% is spot on so, STOP it asap. Any form of cardio.
- Also STOP training legs 10 days out from the comp.
- The day before the comp, have your legs relaxed all day - try to have them "raised" during the day, on a chair on anything. That will help take the blood off your quads and make them pop lines.
*real competition tips and no bulshit.
