I actually tend to lean liberal on a lot of "social" or "moral" issues.....but I can't see how anyone can think this is a good idea.
The President is an elected official that should follow his job description and do his best to lead America down the path the majority of citizens feel is best at that time (the reason a POTUS is voted in)
The President is NOT a fearless leader for citizens to admire, adore, and pledge service to the death for.
School is for LEARNING.

333, I assume its the teachers but it could be administrators too. Thats the problem when you have liberal activists that teach our children. School is about learning, not social conditioning. In general, it appears our public schools are getting worse. I am all for private schools and I would strongly consider it if I had kids. At least they tend to concentrate on education and building character more.

You have no proof of this so it's just a lie on you account. I'm calling you on it. Not defending the actions of a teacher who is obviously misguided. I'm also not trying to blame them on a president who has nothing to do with it.

This is what american politics is becoming. I've been saying it for years. No one ever listens. Religion and God are taking a backseat to politics. i firmly believe that it is a human trait for people to believe in something higher than themselves. The left makes light of the "blind faith" of the religious right but are guilty of the same thing when it comes to their liberal democrat politicians. Politics is what those people who don't believe in god or religion cling to. However I do not think that Obama is actively endorsing this type of behavior but he is not going to necessarily object to it either. We all should learn a lesson from this type of behavior. DO NOT BECOME DISCIPLES OF A MAN YOU DECIDE TO VOTE FOR!!!!! He is only a man trying to do a job. Treat him accordingly with a healthy skepticism. If it's that video posted at little later, that isn't a school. It's a Pentecostal Bible retreat (I think). And, as wacky as that clip was (why do you need a cardboard cutout to pray for Bush?), there's a difference between praying FOR the President and praying TO the President.

This was probably a project for black history month. What it most certainly was NOT is a propaganda campaign orchestrated by the White House.
As for the video that apparently started all of this madness- the "mmmm hmmm" video? Teachers at the school released a statement verifying that it was, in fact, a black history month project.
Whether you are on their side politically or not, the Obama administration is unquestionably a historical milestone. Outside of any political motives, it is of interest to educators. As hard as you may try to politicize it, that's the plain and simple truth.
As for the video you posted in the quoted portion of this post- yeah, it is propaganda. It's a political ad. It was made by some movie crew workers to help get Obama elected. It's not even in the same league as most of these "indoctrination" ::) videos.
