No, but what he does do is kinda weird.  He'll bury his nose in the grass and sniff, sniff, sniff and then real gently, push is face and roll his shoulder into it.  I call it worm rolling, although I've never really seen the worm.  He will try to eat random poop :-X  not other dog, but cat, rabbit, deer...  :-X

I would try baby shampoo and then add about 1/4 ~ 1/2 cup white vinegar to a gallon of warm water - rinse - pour the vinegar water over and rinse again.  The vinegar is an odor eliminator and also cuts the soap so there's no residue left behind which could cause skin irritation.

Thanks, I may try that.

Apparently rabbit poop is some kind of delicacy to these nuts ::)

My dog has wanted to eat goose poop and horse poop.  usually gets them sick too to the point of needing antibiotics.  No rolling in it though.

i had read that it is a primitive instinct to hide their own scent, for hunting purposes?  they can sneak up on something if they smell like it more than their own scent.  Lucan actually craps deep in bushes or high on mounds ( even perched his ass up on a light standard more than once - wish i had a vid of that lol)  so no other animal can get to it easily.  (Lucan was wild on an indian reserve in Canada when i rescued or kidnapped him)

Thanks hazbin, that does make sense!

Was Lucan a pup when you rescued/kidnapped him?   I think you've said how old he was when you got him but can't remember.  Got any pics from back then?

vets guessed him at 2 years when i got him.  he was full frame, but 78 lbs. (120lbs now). i'll find some early pics of him when i get home. i had to come to Hawaii for a week to help my brother in law golf, lol.
