Title: If you didn't want any cleavage showing
Post by: Butterbean on October 02, 2009, 10:23:51 AM
But you bought the dress below but didn't want the neckline so open would you

a) have the neckline sewn to the point that would eliminate the display of cleavage

b) wear something under it and if so, what color/fabric/etc?

Migs?

um cleavage is there for a reason.  TO BE SEEN!

I literally almost fell outta my chair reading this.  BLASPHEMER!

WHy not show cleavage?  It wouldn't be risque or slutty with that dress.  I would maybe see if you can find something of that shade or in that same family. Perhaps tie the fabric to a complimantary color on your accessories.

I'm just not comfortable w/mine showing personally (not that I don't think others can't look good doing so though) plus the people we will be with may be uncomfortable.

HAHA!! I knew you wouldn't let me down Migs!

Do you think black under there and a wide stretchy black belt and black heels would be OK?

I do like your idea of something in that shade though and then the shoes could be black, grey, whatever....I prefer this idea to the black I think.

;D   I think that would work.  How much of your cleavage would show?  You can send me a pic lol.  I guess this is for some church type god-fearing folk?

Yes!  That underneath the dress brings it up to a more formal level!

I have to disagree....

Using anything to hide the cleavage on this dress is going to make you look timid and ultra conservative.
The cut of that dress (especially with the cut on the sleeves) isn't going to keep its look with a garment underneath.

Show some cleavage!
It is always a good day if some guy walks into something while staring.

c) Wear something else.   :)

I think anything underneath it will show and look bulky.

Um, why would you buy a cleavage showing dress like that, and NOT want to show cleavage, I thought that was one of the points of buying the the dress! I have a female friend who, for love of Mary, has breasts galore, and she was wearing a shirt, underneath a lowcut shirt, and still her cleavage was showing...she said "oops", i was like "I don't mind!"

c) depending on the dress itself, you might be able to control the level of cleavage displayed without altering the lines or the drape, by strategically placed toupée tape. it's not something i can say for sure, I'd have to see you in it to determine how much if any room there was to maneuver.

I have always wondered why women wear garments like this only to cop an attitude when men focus on their bosom. :-\

To answer the questions: b.  wear something under it in a complementary color. Or wear a scarf or wrap to cover the shoulders neck and bosom.

That's what gets me. Or the women who get breast implants, and they are no longer a B cup, but a strong D or E cup, and then they wear all these cleavage showing tops. Oh wait, didn't  you tell us that looking at your breast was not the way to get your number.

As long as you don't stare when you're doing that, there shouldn't be any issues.

Would you appreciate them more if you saw them all day? Probably not.  You'd get used to them.

I was reading a few years ago about this couple that went to a nudist resort. And they got used to nudity, but when there was a gala in which people had to dress up, the man had notice that this one female he had always seen nude, had an extrodinaryly beautiful physique when dressed. She was wearing a flowing short dress, that presented and accentuated all her curves and "gifts".

I have a ton of bebe shirts that have a low plunging neckline.  If I wear them to work I just wear a string camisole under.
