I did a quick search on this, but didn’t find quite what I was looking for…
Has anyone ever suffered (or have any knowledge concerning) a shoulder labrum tear?
I’m specifically looking for information regarding
Symptoms,
Diagnosis,
Treatment,
Possible causes…
Thanks.

Are you asking for you? Are you suspecting you have one? I know a guy who had surgery for that and he's back to good as new.
I'm in physical therapy right now for adhesive capsulitis. Do you want me to ask the therapist anything?

Thank you.
I was hoping you would see this & have some insight.
I’ve sent you a very lengthy PM with the details.

A surgeon described the labrum to me as a suction cup that hold the shoulder in place. Tears are very common in athletes who do alot of overhead movements: Baseball pitchers and volleyball players.
The main symptom is a general feeling of unstableness in the shoulder and pain when doing any type of overhead movement, especially with weights.
Labrum tears can cause cysts when sinovial (joint) fluid leaks out of the tear. That's what happened to A-rod, except his was a hip labrum tear.
The golfer Greg Norman just had the surgery.

Good information to know.
