I read something pretty much saying this was garbage and a joke. A great-looking garbage and joke nonetheless. All I need now is Will Smith flying around as Hancock saving civilians. :)

it looks like a kick ass movie and I can't wait to watch it... AND/BUT.. IMO, which is not made lightly and based on years of research, there are some elite sickos planning for an "end times & new order" a "new beggining" with "one" being a theme, BUT this 2012 crap is just another one of the half dozen "you're all going to die" bullshit theories of which everyone who has lived for a while has seen several come and go. Barring some unforseen cosmic strike on earth, the end of man will be man made--period. and it will be a few psychos that pull it off while we sit here distracted arguing about fracking left vs. right....

I can't wait to see 2012 and this movie looks beyond kick ass as well
The subjects in this movie play the art of an actual group of people who were abducted...not by aliens, but by the US government and transported to a place in Montauk NY called PROJECT MONTAUK. Here they were psychologically tortured, because they claimed they saw UFOs or that they were abducted and/or had things done to them by aliens. Many of these people suffered severe psychological trauma and nightmares that went on for years and continue to have them to this day. Look up PROJECT MONTAUK in google for more info. The claim is the program ended...it really only changed names.

so you think we're going to get wacked by some cosmic event predicted by the mayans and other ancient civilizations in the year 2012 exactly on Dec 21 2012? I think if it does happen, when it happens, it'll happen by people, not by what someone predicted dozens of generations before our time.

I know this isn't directed to me but I'll chime in anyway. This movie is proof, none of this shit will happen. It's a mega distraction. THere may be other changes when 2012 rolls around, it isn't going to be this. For that I am certain.

For example the whole right hand and forehead mark cocknobbin' is mistranslated. - its not in right hand, its on right arm.
The '666' is only 666 if you assume the name to be reduced through Gematria. Rather, the greek symbol that is actually transcribed is symbol of allah/serpent,

there was end of the world crap in the 80's and 90 I know for sure. They came and went, just like y2k, without anything happening. Doomsday actually has a pretty long history. I'm betting just about every generation has had some clown saying they're in the end times.
