Unfortunate news if it's true:
Coleman, Coleman, Coleman, too bad he sissies out!!! Who's next??? I'm kicking someone's ass on Nov 21st!
There's an obvious solution here: Rashad Evans should step in to fight Tito Ortiz. It's a natural rematch, Rashad is hot off the show, and it would be an even bigger match than the original. Their first fight was an extremely close fight that ended in a draw, though a number of people including myself believe Tito Ortiz got the moral victory that night.
There are a number of other options, including Thiago Silva, who is rumored to be fighting Rashad Evans in a fight that makes no sense. They could also try to get someone like Stephan Bonnar to step in, or maybe a young star like Jon Jones could get the chance of a lifetime.
There's no shortage of options, but the "plan" to give Ortiz an easy win has been foiled. There's no guarantee he would have won, Coleman is a tough guy, but Ortiz would have been heavily favored. He may now have to fight a top 10 light heavyweight.
For Mark Coleman, this is the second time he's been promoted in a really big money fight, and the second time he's pulled out. This won't earn him any favors with the bosses unless it's a legitimate injury.

I like the idea of Bonner or Jones. Maybe even Griffin. I'd rather him get a warmup fight b4 getting back in there with Rashad.
-
Tito will not fight a top guy maybe Houston Alexander or Keith Jardine?
-
Jardine would be interesting.
I'm thinking more like Wandy at a catch weight would pique my interests.
-
I would like to see Forrest take the fight, I think Tito got a gift the first one. Let them go at it again.
-
Rich Franklin, Keith Jardine and Dan Henderson's name have been floating around as possible replacements. I don't think Tito would take a fight with Dan (plus Dan is still pissed at Dana) anyways, so I'm thinking the other two maybe.
-
That sucks. I've always been a Coleman fan. Rashad vs Tito would be a huge draw.

Rashad and Tito's last fight was a snoozer. Tito won the fight but got a point deducted for holding the fence so it was a draw.

I'm telling you all it's gonna be Wandy/Tito

He's already beaten Wandy. Do we need to see that again?

It was awhile ago and it went 5 rounds to a decision.. so yes, i think it would be a decent fight.. and plus, wandy has more fights left..and always seems to bring it.
Jardine would be decent though

I think Wandy is out for the rest of the year because of that plastic surgery he had to make him look like Alex Rodriguez with down syndrome j/k, but seriously, I'm pretty sure he's out for the rest of the year.

Bones Jones would be sick.. why did Coleman pull out? maybe it finally dawned on him that he should have retired about 10 years ago..

I think Coleman tore his MCL, it was too old and it blew out.
