A few years back there were plans in Hollywood to cast Nicholas Cage to play the part of Clark Kent/Superman and an unknown to play a small part as Suprboy in a major feature that never got "up, up, and away".
But now some talk is underway about a similar, major production centered around Clark and Supe as a teenager.
It's apparent that Hollywood has no idea of what the "real Superman/Superboy" is supposed to look like and there are a few GetBiggers on here who have casting powers (or casting influence/suggestions) with the major studios; so it might be a good idea if GetBig.com offered some recommendations regarding individuals who would look appropriate in the Supe-Suit.
With Supe - anything is possible!
Even getting discovered on GetBig.com.
This time let's show Hollywood how to do it. You might even get an agent's fee; providing you fulfill the right requirements.
Don't worry if you can't act! It's the "LOOK" they're looking for!
Cut and print!

Is this some type of animated feature?

He's not 6'4, all actors like about thier height, he is more 6'1.

It use to be, but with the exception of Tom Cruise, most today's actors have no talent. Looks are the only things these guys/girls have and they are banking on that. That Twilight guy POS, Zac Efron, Megan Fox, even Paris Hilton, etc...

Ryan is right about 'not having to know how to act',....... if the "actor' fits the part and the director knows how to direct him/her. It also involves a great editor.
I've been on set a few times with horrendous actors, but a good director can make a bad actor look good on screen but it takes a bit longer and rolling stock is not cheap.
One director is notorious for rolling film during pre-scene rehersals thereby filming a bad actor while he doesn't expect it. And you'd be amazed how good an editor can make one look if he has adequate footage.
I have been told numerous times that the art of making film is no longer in the hands of the artist; but is now in the hands of the bean counters.... and those bean counters don't think a film can be profitable using an unknown "actor" even if he fits the part perfectly.
I personally think that Superman and the other super-heros should look like the figures as the artists originally intended and not animated, computer generated characters nor skinny, non-muscular actors.
No intent to embarrass you here, Ryan, but when you were in contest condition; you could have been the ideal Superboy character and with the right script, a good director, and a great editor you'd be flying around Hollywood in no time.

Just CGI the whole damn thing.

I was going to link this. Pretty funny and scary how Hollywood works.

Tommy, Thanks! That was great!
There was a TV show once which showed the back door craziness and back-stabbing among the Hollywood elite and their movie industry. It was great but didn't last too long.
If I was more involved in that business, I'd like to write a tell-all script but there are probably many such scripts sitting on shelves and desktops which no one is brave enough to produce.
The movie business is something like that proverbial iceberg in which you only see the very top, while the interesting (and often destructive) part is out of sight.
