Title: On a serious note guys...If im an alcoholic but doing more physical work/workout
Post by: Marty Champions on October 14, 2009, 05:51:53 AM
is this a good thing, i mean technically i would think so if im able to work longer hours standing manual labor, then right after work play long full court b-ball games after drinking some more till dark, and drinking more into the night but doing some extra workouts?

if i average about 12-15 beers a day im thinking, i still get in my dark greens, and drink apple cider vienager here and there and plenty of water

i find my stamina superior aswell in both work and working out, Whats really odd is i tend to be less sore

I would think it would be hard to get cut drinking all that beer. I would switch to wine and limit yourself to 4 glasses max...combine that with some good weed and you should have a decent buzz. No need to get abusive.

hahah cool , i honestly barely remember a dream i had the other night of this silver ball/bullet like ufo shooting out of the sky at me, i sat and watched it and knew it was a spaceship...

but back to the alcohol, i think as long as we pace ourselves drinking and have a few essential foods 10-15 beers a day can really be benefical for transporting more oxygen to the blood and muscles for enhanced prolonged activity

the thing is the alcohol keeps me from taking breaks at work, i simply just consume a beer every hour or so sometimes more sometimes less 15 for the whole day or so wich aint much spread out, its all about time density drinking.

you see drinking makes people move and dance wich is a form of working out think of all those that go out drinking and are standing and doing shoit, food doesnt really do that we just get hungry on massive amounts of calories

i dont get hangovers either

Yes, but several studies show that the alcohol in the amount of beers you're drinking lowers testosterone, raises cortisol and blocks certain fat burning enzymes. This is the exact opposite you would want. I've always found it hard to get cut during periods I was drinking more. ..even though I was doing 2 45 minute cardio sessions a day. But hey..if it works for you and you like it..go for it. I think you'll find it easier to get lean on less booze.

you got to realize all these bullshit studies do not include people with special diets like what i recommend

also it will probably lower testosterone if your NOT working out

Im saying it helps you workout more

getting lean on less booze means dieting and less energy for activity= fuck that shit been there done that. i dont like sitting aorund the house on a diet hoping to shed the fat thats gay

basically it helps you do more shit in a days time

a bber diet will never help you get more things done, you only just deplete yourself to rebound or have to live so structured you dont or have the energy to do fun things and want to go to bed early ect

hey jonah flacoon don't you find being a tall, heavier guy that the beers aint doin much anyway but give you a "pump" and blood flows...

it gives me the energy simply

i get lethargic even with regular or healthy food, meaning i dont feel the kick from regular food only good taste satisfaction

also beer clears up any acne or redness i may have, my skin is perfectly clear

but my skin would flare up with meats and sugary foods

who are you speaking too?

i wouldnt reccomend drinking alot of beer and eating alot of meat because that would bring about a shitload of mucus in yoursystem

beer is an anti inflamatory wich is the opposite of most cancers wich are inflamatory conditions

It may depend on the individual alcohol never gives me energy makes me more lazy but I dont work a job where I stand and do manual labor could that be the difference Falcon?

If you can't quit and go say anywere 6 months to a year without drinking you are weak of mind and will...I mean seriously whats the average life expectancy now 73?74?....and you cant quit drinking for 1 year or so out of 70 sum years?yea thats a problem no doubt.especially if your relying on alcohol to function properly or to accomplish regular tasks that should/could be accomplished sober.

I'm not so tempted in starting up drinking again. Last time a day of beer and activity left me dehydrated, even when drinking liters of water.

Maybe I lacked B vitamin and liver carbs from berries at the time, as well as big lack of knowledge.

for instance there are guys like wavelength who are leaner than me who are actuallly on a so called "healthy diet"

but for me i garantee you that i do alot more than him day in and day out and am stronger and faster in part due to my height but most due to my ableness with energy over them because of the alcohol. as for pound for pound on lifts comparing bodyweights it would probably be close since small ripped dudes are light as twinkies im still 6feet6 230 so its hard to compare, i dont see enougher shorter guys talking about drinking alcohol and working out except me the tall master falconie

most guys like wavelenght dont have to do more and dont do much, and just relax on there restrictive diets but lose fat and dont do the high intensity cardio of full court b-ball n such and or work manual labor no offense stud

I'm not on a "healthy diet" and I love to drink beer and red wine.
Just not in such massive amounts.

True that I don't do manual labor right now but I have done that too. I just ate more during that time.
And I was once a huge mofo, got down in weight because of injuries.

youd probably be crazy athletic if you took up more beer and dropped the meat, you dont seem fat at all

damn if i had no fat id be leaping like michael jordan, right now im just faster than everyone but id be much better if i didnt have 20 pounds of fat still hangin on me

Study Shows Moderate Alcohol Consumption Related To Stronger Bones

Posted on: Friday, 13 March 2009, 12:55 CDT
The devastating effects of excessive alcohol consumption are undisputable, although some data suggest that moderate alcohol consumption may impart some health benefits. For instance, several studies have reported a positive association between alcohol intake and bone mineral density (BMD) in older women. There are fewer studies investigating this relation in men or younger women, and none have considered different classes of alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, and liquor). To explore this issue further, an international team of experts headed by Katherine Tucker studied a cohort of adults in the Framingham Offspring Study
. Their results are published in the April 2009 issue of The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. In a companion editorial, Helen Macdonald adds interesting commentary to the debate.

ASN Spokesperson Stephanie Atkinson, PhD, explained the study which looked at the effects of alcohol on bone mineral density in older people, and said that "moderate alcohol consumption was shown to contribute to stronger bones (measured as hip and spine bone mineral density). The positive effect on bone was most notable at 1-3 glasses of beer in men and more than 2 glasses of wine or liquor (but not beer) for women. The bone preserving ingredients may be the silicon in beer and resveratrol in wine in addition to the alcohol. Such positive effects on bone must be balanced against the risk of falls and bone fractures caused by consuming excessive alcohol."

Lunges where your knee touch the floor each rep has made me able to sprint faster than ever before. I do minimum 16 reps for legs. For lunges I go up to 140 lbs.

You're just being lazy in the kitchen, John.  & get a fridge and microwave for your work vehicle.

Don't run power tools with drugs or alcohol in you.  Gone fingers are gone permanently.  Fine assed 18yo hoes probably don't dig digit stumps.

Johnny takes a drink. As the alcohol enters into digestion, it is split into two
compounds: fat and acetate. The fat is taken through the bloodstream and stored
wherever Johnny tends to deposit fat. The acetate is taken into the bloodstream and
used as Johnny's primary energy fuel.

Read that last sentence again. The
acetate is used as J-boy's primary energy fuel. This means that rather than burning
carbohydrates, protein, or fat as a fuel, Johnny's body relies on the acetate for
energy. It completely stops burning anything else. Suddenly, Johnny has a surplus of
carbs, protein, and fat circulating in the body with nowhere to go. So where does it
all end up? You guessed it...it's converted to fat and deposited on Johnny's waistline.

He might get the munchies too...

Then later I'm walking back home and my left crocs would be all slippy filling up with blood. I get home to realize they forgot to "close" the "wound" now it' full of hair and dirt...
