In legislation that is being passed by the provincial government, Vancouverites would not be allowed to post un-registered Olympic protest signs on/in their own homes or risk being raided and jailed. Anyone caught posting anti Olympic signs will recieve 24 hours notice at which time a locksmith will be called to allow police to enter the "offenders" home (without consent) to remove the signs. The bill for the locksmith will be charged to the tenant, jail time may also be enforced.
So much for the Charter of Rights on free speech.

I've read enough of your posts to know that you wouldn't put up with this bullshit for a minute. And given your personal armory...
I feel for you Canadians. What is the "Charter of Rights"? Is that the equivalent to our Bill of Rights?

I live right downtown Vancouver and not only will I lose more than 2 weeks of pay because we wont be working , now I can't even post a sign on my window to protest this shit. This is fucked up beyond belief.
All you guys that were crying over the Chicago thing really need to be thankfull you didn't get it. This has been nothing but a disaster.
I think I really might go mental over this.
Ha ha - tell that to 240, Mons, Benny, Lurker, Straw, and and KC.

Here in america, our top news website Drudge did pretty much the same thing on a global scale. They called it "Olympia race riots" or something. Was all over their headline with video of a kid getting killed, as the US President was flying to Copenhagen to try to sell Bush's idea that Chicago as a good place to have the Olympics.
We didn't get the olympics, and some anti-american types actually cheered.

Canada is nothing more than a police state.
The Canadian government has always imposed its will on the citizens of Canada. Charter of Rights and Freedoms is virtually worthless.
