Hugo - this is why people like Grayson are completely FOS and a laughing joke at best.

IT IS THE LEFT TALKING ABOUT LETTING PEOPLE DIE, NOT THE RIGHT.

1.  Did you bother to view the Robert Reich video?  Probably not.

2.  Did you even read the threads I posted directly quoting Zeke Emanuels' call for rationing care for seniors?  Maybe you did but you refused to believe it?

4.  Did you even stop to look into the writings of Sunstein and Holdren who called for forced abortions and the like?  Probably not.

5.  Due to your hatred of Palin, you did not even consider her valid argument about the rationing for seniors inherhent in ObamaCare.

So maybe Grayson should STFU for a minute and look in the mirror and look at his own side before pointing the finger when the overwhelming evidence on who is promoting rationing of care is the Left, not the right.  .

Emmanuel's quotes were taken completely out of context and the quote about "forced' abortions was another "what if" taken from a book written in the 70's.

It's completely disingenuous (or just ignorant) to suggest these are part of any healthcare reform package being presented today

Later in the show Maher was trying to get some traction with his persona belief that people/patients are demanding too many unnecessary and expensive tests when there is actually quite a bit of data to show that in most cases it's the doctors (the supply side of the equation) who are driving the decision to do more and more

Look, a lot of seniors are bored and go to the doctor to pass the time.  I get that.  I also think the docs are perfectly happy to oblige this as well.

no doubt there is an element of that going on but there's also a financial incentive for doctors to order more and more test and perform more procedures (there's also an incentive to do this to avoid malpractice lawsuits).   If you're interested in the topic there is some decent info in this show from last week:  http://www.thislife.org/Radio_Episode.aspx?episode=391

Oh I agree 100%.  I did collections for a short time for a medical practice and quickly stopped when i saw what they are doing.  We were going after the carriers for payment on behald of the medical practice and it was a stupid game.

The carriers denied everything and the docs ordered everything.  It was a complete mess.

I got out of that after a year since i felt really slimy going after the carriers for phoney ekg and other tests that were marginally necessary for docs being sent patients by trial lawyers who needed their tort cases worked up,
