I thought one of the reasons why boom of the 50's was the Gi Bill, plus the advent of the suburban lifestyle...War time was a boon time for production. Plus we won the war...Someone please correct me...I just getting off of work.

You also did not have people massively in debt to finance their lifystlyes, eduction, etc.
