Title: So how does consumption of omega 3's work like flaxseed

whats the absorption rate, and once they are absorbed do the tell the saturate fattys to out themselves? Or does it work on a much smaller less noticible scale?

Approximately 5% absorption rate.  ::)

it's not about absorption but conversion too...

simple answer:

fish oil has omega 3 fatty acids but theses 2 fatty acids (EPA, DHA) are structerally different than the omega 3 found in flax (ALA)

They are all considered omega 3 because the 3rd carbon has a double bond. If you see the skeleton backbone structure of a fatty acid.....the 3rd carbon has a opening

using enzymes, your body converts ALA to EPA and DHA
