Title: Anyone get pain in Brachioradialis from Curls?
Post by: Method101 on October 24, 2009, 02:43:35 PM
Barbell curls do it to me somtimes, when curling 52.5kg.
I have to stick to dumbells most of the time to avoid this, i guess it's a genetic thing.

Brachioradialis = forearm muscle for those who don't know.

That often can start from excessively heavy back workouts....especially bent rows with an over grip. If the pronator muscle was sore, that often starts from going too heavy on bent rows with a reverse grip, or even heavy cheat curls

It sounds to me that your form sucks major dick.  A girl at my gym had the same complaint and her form was atrocious.

Some people get it, they just don't have the stabilizing strength and it puts strain on other things

Dumbbells & cables hit my muscles harder and treat my joints better than barbells do. I don't care that the weights are less than those with barbells.

Once got some wicked tendon flair up from excessive drop sets.  It was around the same time as shoulder issues tho, so maybe it was something going on all over.
