Title: Arm measurement Question
Post by: disturbia on October 24, 2009, 03:20:06 PM
I decided to measure my arm (unpumped) and recently had my fat % done (24, down from 29). I pulled the tape as tight as I can so Im assuming subtract half inch for tape slack or something (I dont know). Yeah, I'm still fat, I am aware. But my question is, once I get down to a reasonable 12-14% bf, what can I realistically expect for a measurement?  Dont worry, Im not delusional, I know my 19  and whatever arm is a big chunk of lard.

(yes epically gay Muscle Asylum shirt, it was free)

I'd say around 17", give or take half an inch or so, Avesher.

You could easily add an inch or so to that if you keep lifting while losing the body fat.

thats fine, it is what it is, just threw it out there for curiosity sake
although when i was 214 many years ago it taped at 17.5, so I think your estimate is sketchy at best

I just don't see a huge muscular arm underneath there , sorry. Lean 15 inchers are pretty big if you're 5'11" or under.

An in-shape 17.5" arm looks great pretty much on any frame. I just highly doubt most measurements and strength claims on the internet because most of em are bullshit.

absolutely horrible knees and lower back,..just ruined.  One weird one is 6 months ago I partially tore my rotator cuff. Now I have 50% on my left side on pushing exercises. If I can do 8 reps with xx pounds on my right side, I can only do 4 with same weight on my left side.

Don't matter. If you lose the weight your arms should cut up and look better anyway.
