Title: Does this happen in any other country?

we have many more fat people in america though. anyway, lookin at these pics I really pity these people, obesity is a serious disorder :-\

The big puzzle is that how can the majority of the French or Italians eat all day and not become obese ? I can't help but thinking that it has something to do with the lack of industrially processed food (high fructose corn syrup, etc.) in their diet.
