As far as chain gyms go. Right now any of them that are open 24 hours a day and let you lift heavy weight without being shunned for it. That and are not packed with a bunch of smoes following and doing the same thing you are.

Planet Fitness is pretty hardcore. They would be perfect if they added smoothie bars.

That is funny going in there on a Monday and seeing all the lardasses eating the free pizza. Wait a minute, I am technically "judging" now, fuck I better stop.

I'm doing the Lifetime Fitness thing at the moment and I can't complain.

Top notch facility, if a little pricey

No, every first Monday of the month. People actually eat it while on the treadmills.

In other areas it is the 2nd Tuesday of every month.... This is coming from a former general manager of PF lol.

Lifetime Fitness is good, but they are a bit overzealous with their fitness programs.

I was there today and the trainers had their "teams" doing walking lunges around the whole fucking gym like a goddamn Conga line. There had to be at least 25 people. But it beats the shit out of Pizza

I go to Bally's and its the worst freakin gym ever.  I'm stuck with a contract with them so I'm forced to work out there. The equipment is always broken and they don't have enough free weights/machines/treadmills. And at any given time of the day, there's endless amounts of schmoes that will just openly stare at you while your working out.  It is also dirty as hell.
My friend bought me in as a guest to his gym L.A. Fitness and that gym was amazing. A lot of machines, weights, etc. Great drink stand. And really clean.

Well the Gold's here have gone down the shitter.  Used to have d-bells to 150 and the owner took out everything over 85 i guess.  He's basically following the Planet Fitness model now.  From what i've heard it won't even be a Gold's when his next franchise license comes up which is good cuz it tarnishes the name.  Then again i've been reading that kind of stuff about corp golds for a bit now.  Sad really  :-[

If you've got or/ are willing to drop the dough each month Lifetime has some amazing facilities.  Not a hardcore place but whatever type of fitness other than pl someone is into is covered, and the amount of women is just insane.

I've been at 24 for about 3 1/2 years now, and for the money it can't be beat.  Paid 3 years upfront for like 700, and now it's 29 per year...yes.....per year ;D  They don't say shit to anyone about deadlifts, squats, or anything really, and you can bring in your own chalk too.  Hell, even if i moved i probably keep renewing it for visits.  You'd spend 29 bucks in 2-3 drop in passes at most clubs

Please tell me you guys weren't serious about pizza night at planet fitness???  ???
