Had my bloodwork done the other day for the first time in a few years. My creatnine level was 1.25, which is a little elevated. Doc said that was normal for someone who trains heavy. It's been that way in the past too.
Just curious what you beasts think or have had as test results.

EVERYTIME they take blood they tell me this and that I have too much protein in my piss -
since I was like 16
I was in hospital a few months back and they ran every test they could on me - MRIs, CTscans of heart and artieries, checked my liver, gave me a GAWD damn spinal tap, looked at my brain
nada -- except when I stopped breathing they had to get a bigger ventilator, they used 10guage needles in one of my veins and it collapsed for like 5 inches, and they said my brain was enlarged slightly - more sides from gh use, I started say I turned 23, stripper girlfriend bout me like 5 kits of jinos
but other than the seizure that happened out of no where and that I;m money 8)
no worries just drink more water

All drugs.

I took creatine and ended up in hospital. The urologists were PRETTY SURE that it was caused by the creatinine levels combined with a PRE EXISTING kidney condition I never knew about. I only have one kidney that works. I only took creatine for 3 weeks.
If you have ANY kidney conditions avoid that shit like the plague!

Thanks. The doc said it was nothing to worry about, to just keep an eye on it over time. 15? Ouch.... glad you made it thru.
And some people keep commenting on creatine.....although it can elevate your creatnine levels, that's not what I'm talking about. I haven't taken creatine in years.

O what's bad about high creatine levels? Never heard about any sides with it.

creatinine level...not creatine leve. its a measure of kidney function

It means protein is leaking into your urine in large quantities...

well, not really. what you are referring to is the BUN levels

You know what I mean..

Yeah, it's a standard test to see how well your kidneys are working.

oh lol
never had bloodwork. maybe I should to test my natural test levels and stuff :D
-
My doc told me my penis was too fat and long and throwing my balance off.

No, urea is the breakdown product of protein, and if the levels are elevated, it is more than likely you eat a high protein diet or you are dehydrated, or you are in one of the stages of renal failure. Your creatinine and potassium will also be high.
Creatinine is the breakdown product of creatine-phosphate, which is a high energy molecule that transfers a phosphate group to ADP to form ATP during anaerobic respiration so your muscles can keep working.
The more muscle you have, the more creatine you have, therefore the more creatinine you have.
Supplemental creatinine also can cross react with the blood test assay.
If you want a more accurate result, google Cockroft-Gault, put in your age, weight, sex and creatinine levels and you will have a far more accurate indicator of renal function.

-

It is not like an alkylated steroid, it doesn't have a long half life.

Surely he meant "supplemental levels of Creatine"-- not 'creatinine'...
-
My doc told me my penis was too fat and long and throwing my balance off.
you too? i had to work my back & hamstrings harder to bring my balance to normal.

Creatinine levels will almost definately become elevated through use of creatine supplementation. But as others have suggested as a bodybuilder or someone who does very physical work etc your normal parameters can be very different to the average joe's. I had mine checked not so long ago and my doc started monitoring it. I then discontinued using creatine and my creatinine levels dropped back to what is considered mainstream normal within about 3-4 weeks.
Just to mention also that when I take creatine I never load it and only ever take about 1/2 a teaspoon with water prior to working out (when I remember) so probably about two full teaspoons a week. That is plenty for me even at some 270 pounds as I gain around 6-7 kilos from that in 1 - 2 weeks.
After using it for around 3-4 weeks I stop ingesting it and keep off it for at least the next 3-4 weeks. That's my experience anyways.

I did, but it was years ago. I don't think it does, pretty sure it gets flushed fairly quickly which is why you have to keep taking it.

It flushes really quickly... especially if you ad coffee drinks.
