anyone?

I did.  We have a big county executive race.  The issue was mostly taxes, although the GOP challenger ran on a platform of lower taxes and bringing the gun shows back to Westchester.

The liberal incumbent banned the gun shows after Columbine and is a far left socialist asshole.

Nonsense 240 - Obama went there and this was supposed to be close.

If Christie wins in NJ, you can expect a GOP stampede in 2010.  If Christie wins, the dems will be on notice that their marxist garbage wont stand for long.

Wow, in my liberal county, the Conservative pro-2nd Amend, anti-tax, gun show loving, GOP guy has a huge massive lead!

Wow!  I cant believe it.  I live in Obamaland and the Gun Loving Conservative who promised to bring the gun shows back is winning in a stampede.

I am totally pumped.

it was 7 or 10 days ago... white house was spinning it already.  claiming "dont associate Obama's endorsement with the result" or soemthing.  Gibbs was doing it, i only saw for like 5 seconds.  even msn'c david shustr was saying the white house was running away from this election based on the polls, which showed the R winning by 5 or more

240 - I live in lib land and a gun loving conservative who ran on a platform on anti-taxes and pro guns is running away with this thing.  This is the county of the clintons for gods sake.

I honestly don't know here - How did the 2008 county votes tally up?  Dem/Repub?

Many voted for obama, but the issue is taxes and people are fleeing this county.  The county exec was the ultimate tree hugging big gov socialist corrupt dem.  Dems outnumber GOP 3 to 1 in this county.

The new guy ran on two real issues - taxes and guns.  He is destroying the lib guy and I love it.

The gun shows are coming back to Westchester!

They bought a huge house in Chappaqua near Martha Stewart and George Soros.  I live on the border of the Bronx and it is literally a different world from where they live.  Where I live is mostly inner city living like ants.

yea I know, but they're not from there.  What you live in is liberal leaning country.  So they accept the Clintons but I'm not sure Clinton country is accurate.  But you would know better than me on this one since you live over there.

Hugo - I think part of the reason I come across the way I do is that i have to deal with the extremes of the left wing wherew I live and I see what they did to where I live and grew up.  Young people have all fled this county because of the massive taxes and govt messing with everyone.

Many tell me that a NY lib is not the same as a democrat from other parts of the country. I am used to dealing with extreme left wingers and am so fed up with their crap where I live.

Whatever -  NJ ? ? ? ? ?

There is no excuse for losing NJ other than that people are fed up and sick of the insane taxes we have to pay.
