Buffet made his billions on the backs of taxpayers.  People need to get off their knees when they talk about him being some sort of genius.  He just learned to work the system just like a poor person working the system for welfare etc.  There is no difference between the two.

Schiff is indeed on a roll.

He was getting to be a bit of a 1 trick pony but he is redeeming himself by discussing wider issues.

A real shame there  aren't more like him.

Why do you say that?  I thought Buffet was just a savvy investor.  Got in early on things like Coke, Wrigleys, Geico.  Not attacking you, I just don't know.  Maybe I have the wrong impression of Buffet.

Do a little reading on how Buffet made even more billions from owning power companies that were involved with the Enron scandal and "deregulation"(he owns one in Portland, Oregon I believe).  Free Lunch is one book that calls him out on it.  He continues to this day to receive subsidies for his various companies while Americans struggle to keep their jobs and then spouts off about his taxes being too low.  George Steinbreiner is no different.

Subsidies are nothing more than corporate welfare...he is just a welfare baby.  While he did get lucky with some early investments his true fortune came off the backs of taxpayers.

Its amazing how these billioniares cry about taxes being too low when most of their earnings were never subjected to the income tax they want to hike up on everyone else.

Exactly!!!  Fucking hypocrites.  He is the last person that should be advising any public official about our economy when he enjoys the very welfare that the majority of Americans oppose. The LAST people that should be enjoying welfare is billionaires!

Thanks MD.  I'm going to Barnes & Noble later today and I'll look for that.
