Bob Chic has done more for bb than Arnold ever could. Bob started bodybuilding.com, Bob sells triple filtered egg whites online. Bob has been in numerous movies. Bob MCs the Olympia and does a fine job while making a fashion statement.
Bob made the Mirage hotel what it is today which helped carve the landscape for what Vegas has become.
Bob makes wanting to be a bodybuilder a cool thing.

Steve Reeves did it LONG before Arnold , he was Arnold's template along with Reg Park for the bodybuilding actor road

Jane Fonda!

If Arnold didn't exist people would want to look like Stallone.

What map?

No disrespect to Arnold, but I don't think he put bodybuilding on the map anymore than anyone else has after him.
When I was a kid, the first time I heard of bodybuilding in a hardcore or cometitive sense was when I saw the WBF being publicised in a newspaper in 1990. Seeing pictures of Gary Strydom and Mike Christian blew me away. Arnold had nothing to do with it.

arnold certainly made more people want to workout and made them more aware of what a bodybuilder is.
If you ask anyoneto name a muscleman 95% will say arnold
-
Lou Ferrigno, infact mainstream thinks he was a better bodybuilder than Arnold.

That's what bugs me though - even nearly 30 years after Arnold last competed, the average person on the street will only still be able to name him as the only bodybuilder they've ever heard of.
And I think that's the way Arnold likes it.
