I was honestly getting ready to post V for Vendetta. That movie is just amazing. The part after he saves Evee is crazy, I would never be able to say that speech.

Full Metal Jacket is good too. But very disturbing.

hey, also, post them if you got them. There are a lot of these older political flixs online. This might be a fun way we can all take a break from yelling at eachother and watch and talk about politics in film.

anything that has a theme in which we would discuss here. War is talked about here. I guess we should try to keep talk about these movies in line with the political and not just talk about the entertainment value since this is not the entertainment board.

Paths of Glory was about the military court marshalling soldiers who refused to advance in no man's land in WW1 battles. It was more about the trial and the fact that the country was asking these soldiers to do impossible things, and was really screwed up considering some people were shot via firing squad to cover up the screw ups of the generals.

There are a ton, ...but off the top of my head... "Death of a President" comes to mind.
It was an excellent film, so prescient, ...almost clairvoyant if you will, ...especially in light of recent events.
And in no particular order...

John Adams
The Constant Gardener
Good Night and Good Luck
