besides that he looks good

He didnt carb load, he didnt cut his sodium or water and he wasnt tan, he was just guest posing.
He is big and hard, he looks good.I wish I ooked that good, when I competed.I didnt have his freaky genetics

dont have him do any kind of carb/water/sodium manipulation before the show. just keep it all steady mon-saturday. he looks good, dont fuck it up with "bro science".
-
dude's head looks too small for his body. freaky build however
-
His head looks so small because his faced is so sucked in from dieting hard...
-
big arms..

Robert B looks good, super heavies is going to be real good this year. Whats up with the attendance at these shows?? My younger brother is a wrestler (WWE style amateur) and they get 300-400 people turn out consistently at every show..it looked like there were 50-100 people there tops.
-
Go for it, actually the turn out was pretty good.Robert only walked off to the side, he didnt go down the middle ise.Attendence is down, because they didnt have a guest poser.Last Year Ron Mccormick the owner of Pureformlabs sponsored the show, and stiffed the promoter out of $3500 , so the promoter didnt hire a guest poser this year.Because Ron Mccormick is the biggest scum bag on the planet.
So I asked the promoter if I could have Robert Guest pose so the audience would get to see a guest poser. There was probably 250 people in the audience. It would have been better if they knew there was going to be a guest poser. But you cant blame the promoter, for not hiring a guest poser after being burned. The reason they have a head sponsor is to pay for the guest poser.
Who would think a company would stiff, the promoter of the NPC.All I can say is Ron Mccormick is now black balled from all shows because he ripped off the Nevada NPC chariman.
-
dead at 40

-
omg i saw a couple of females in the audience :o :o :o

Gotcha...so did Robert B, do this guest posing for free?? If so thats pretty cool, probably won't find many bb'ers that would do something like that. If you don't mind me asking, how much cardio do you have him doing right now?
-
getitonny is to Robert how jumpstart is to Stan---epic stalker
christ this bodybuilding is a gay sport

What? You must be mistaken. :D

I havent, although I plan to.
So you have no practical experience about any bro science, as you call it, about sodium loading and depleting. Your bro science is to not use the other bro science.
What gives you the confidence to have an opinion to something you really know nothing about?
-
Top 3 next week.
-
strong dude
irritating music
cant pose for shit
clumsy arms throwing when walking
structural flaws, is heavy enough but looks small in legs, back, delts
stomack dont look small though
-
Not a pleasing physique by any means. He's big but that's it.
-
and AT LEAST 2 scoops of plazmosis
that's madness. you've gone mad, man! you can kill a horse with that kind of dosage.

because i havent competed myself doesnt mean that i have no experience experimenting with traditional bodybuilding drying out/filling out out processes... i have witnessed several top level competitiors and a professional go through their last few days of prep, as well have i personally guided someone through last week prep.
the majority of guys competing, even ones with tons of experience themselves, have no ideas how to peak for EVERY show.. there is a common idea among most competitors that while their is science and skill behind the proces, itmostly seems to be "luck".... however the reason why copetitors are so inconsistant, barring the fact they may not have had low enough bodyfat to look shredded no matter how much water they are holding, is because they fool around with water/sodium/carbs the last few days, and they(nor any of the so caled "guru's" in the sport actually know anything about.
i am not an expert in any field, but I know that the experts in the field of physiology, metabolism, endocrinology, etc.. would all agree that 99% of the methods used to try and dry out/fill out.. are a disaster waiting to happen, and based on faulty info

Yes. You are right. You are not an expert and you have no idea what you are talking about. I can't believe someone who has not even done a show has "guided" someone through the final weeks of their show.
And when you do finally enter a show, you will realize that your little trial run at drying out as you say is not even comparable because you have absolutely nothing on the line. No one gives 100 percent when they are not going for something "for real."
You seem like a pretty smart guy but you are way off here. I'm sure you can relate in something you actually have done well and some dork who has never done it talks about like he's done it before.
Just because some competitors blow it does not mean just don't do it. Aren't you always saying bodybuilders are dumb? maybe those who didn't do it well are the dumb ones.
Your "bro science" is just as dangerous as the people you criticize. How about not giving advice about something you've never done? That's when the bro science ends.

John...
You're my guy and all. I know you know your shit and I know you're proud of Robert but... umm..
Have you ever seen Rocky-5? Balboa and his relationship with Tommy Gunn?
I have a strong gut feeling that Robert will win BIG and then be lured by the Handjob's, the Palumbo's and the Farah's of the world and will leave you as a guy he once knew.
Once contracts and the gltiz and glamour comes his way even more he will walk and leave you out in the cold.
- Block!

im not sure i follow you, what do you think im advocating? i just dont want to see another bodybuilder look great one week out, then fuck it up because they tried some wacked out idea.... alot of guys will listen to anyone who has competed before.... and alot of times the ideas are fucked up..
ill give you one example,
this guy has been competing since the late 80's, he is 5'8 and offseason 250 with abs and competes at 200ish. he used to live in LA and is friends with just about every pro bodybuilder who ever lived or trained in cali.
i was training with this guy while he was getting ready for a show, and he was coming in nicely. about 6 weeks out he started talking with me and other friends about what he planned on doing for his drying out/filling out process. he was open to any idea's and he was scouring the net and all his friends for ideas.
now, for such a seaosned veteran with such a great body, it shoudl be a given that he already has a guaranteed method to come in dry and full. but he didnt have any method and had been inconsistant his whole career.
he ended up choosing a method he got from a friend, where he drops water friday night, keeps sodium low fri and sat, and then carbs up sat morning uses all fruit, fruit jellies, and toast and bagels, but enormous amounts of jelly.
ended up looking like he did when he was three weeks out.

Yeah, that's just crazy. He should have known what he was doing if he was experienced. But he was what I would call a dumb bodybuilder and deserved what he got. very good up until the end and can't stay focused and poised--and fell apart with a stupid decision.
There are ways to do it that are not whacked out. Most of the top guys don't blow it at the end. And when they don't look good, they will usually be honest later on and tell you that they didn't have their head on straight while preparing for that show.
Not manipulating your sodium and water is like walking away from the blackjack table after winning $300. You didn't lose--but you could have won big.

Could you post a last week sodium/water manipulation that is not whacked out and which will work?
What tbombz is saying is what many competitors, both amateur and pro, have said after failing (to some extent) time and time again. "I will just cruise in this time and not do anything drastic, if I'm lean enough chances are I will not blow it like all the other times".
If you're not holding water and look fantastic why mess with it? Lots and lots of experienced competitors will agree with what tbombz is saying.
Also, most competitors and gurus do not know what the hell they are doing. That's why they are going from method to method and doing one crazy thing after the other trying to find the last week routine that will work like magic.

Because what looks fantastic in the mirror in the gym doesn't look fantastic on stage under the lights. People who have competed at a higher level successfully know this. You have to do things to pull out the water that you don't do the last couple of weeks.
Look at all of these pros in the Sacramento show. Their average to poor condition had nothing to do with their methods, it had everything to do with heart. That wasn't a show they got excited about like the Olympia or even the the Nationals when they were amateurs.
Bodybuilder screw up not because of the last week. They don't prepare and do all of the little details leading up to the show. They just blame it on the last week.
-

I have said the same many many times on here.

It's possible to screw up quickly if you do something drastic. Stuffing your face with jelly or whatever or taking Lasix, etc. With drugs in the mix you can puff up with water quickly. Ever see a bb who gorged on crap immediately after the show a day or two later? You do a real heavy load and that could be contest day.
-
looks good, doesnt hold a candle to zack kahn tho.... in anyform
regarding the prep, i totaly agree with the dont fuck everything up theory... we all used to fuck up trying all the carb loading, sodium loading etc etc,,, its fuckn bullshit, just dont change anything and drop the water, and you will look better 100% guarranteed...
altho alot blame there shit condition on holding water, where its usualy that there not lean enough, there holding fat!!!

Why do the "real pros" like Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Shawn Ray, Lee Labrada, etc. NEVER blow their "peak"? And you'll never hear them make those kind of excuses. Sure, they may look better at tines than others but they never blow it during the last week like all of those excuse making less professional bodybuilders do.
If you think they keep everything the same and just drop their water, you are mistaken.
The difference between the decent and GREAT they don't have the "just don't blow it" mentality like you are advocating.
You need to learn what you are doing. It's not as complicated as you guys are making it regardless of what the excuse maker say when the look terrible on stage.
-
really bad posing. :-\
-
big and shredded
but he can't pose for shit, what's wrong with that.
make him fix that John, it looks really bad

What the hell are you talking about? Jay didn't blow his peak ever? I guess that's why he dropped something like 16lbs in a day between pre-judging and finals in 2008, as he was a bloated mess and miscalculated real bad.
Ronnie used Chad and they were successful to say the least, but how did Chad's carb load work on Dennis Wolf last time out? In Wolf's own words he looked worse than he ever did, including as an amateur, looked better 5 weeks out. Blamed the carb load procedure. "Totally overloaded" was what he said. And he had Chad looking him over throughout the process too.
Phil Heath and others are often puking and shitting their brains out day/days before, due to "last minute manipulations".
Blowing their peak due to voodoo methods - happens ALL THE TIME!
-
His legs are lagging BIG TIME in side poses, otherwise looks awesome

Let's define what you mean by "blowing your peak."
Are you describing it as an all or nothing, black and white thing? You are either 100 percent or zero percent.
I didn't say those top-notch, hardworking bodybuilders were 100 percent all the time. They don't drop all the way down to like 50 percent horrible.
Hell, even Jay not hitting it right would have been top 3 in the world--and he certainly doesn't blame it on what you call voodoo methods.
You go for 100 percent nailing it--and sometimes you may not get all 100 percent. But just going into the show "just dropping your water" like you guys are suggesting is plain foolish to any real competitive bodybuilder.
You'll be lucky if you look 50 percent of what you could look like on stage playing that "safe" way.
No real professional just steps on stage "just dropping a little water"--so you have no idea how shitty that would look.

Plenty of good bodybuilders have done great without doing anything major. Just dropping a bit of water maybe. No loading, no playing with sodium. Guy I prepped looked his best going into a show just cruising in, pretty depleted. Just a couple of Dyazide day before. Of course, hard to convince a lot of them that no depleting/loading, sodium loading/depletion is necessary, because "that's what everyone does".
I have seen tons of bodybuilders prep, helped a few, so yes I have an idea.
-
We are working on Roberts posing. It was his first guest posing experience.Plus they told him he had 15 minutes to pump up, but instead he got stuck in the pump up room for 60 minutes, so he was nervous and irritated.
You have to remember he has only done 3-4 shows, and has ony been bodybuilding for 3-4 years. So he is new to the whole bodybuiding thing.
We atleast got him in shape, now the next 2 weeks I am going to force him to pose and hour a day if I have to.
As as carb loading and water manipulation thats a buch of B.S..
We might cut his water a little bit, and slightly carb load him.Nothing crazy.
-
You can't teach posing! Either you can pose or you can't. There never was a bb who was a bad poser who then became a great poser.
-
Van your wrong I was a horribe poser, then became a decent poser.
Posing gets better, with stage confidence, and learning how to make smooth transtitions.I have judged over 200 shows, and I have seen guys go from terrible posers to a few shows later pose like a pro.
If you practice posing, and someone teaches you, you can learn how to pose.
Alot of guys pose poorly because there nerves get the best of them. This I know.
The more shows you do, the more you pose, the better you leanr to pose
If you look at some pro bodybuiders in the earlly shows, they pose terrribly.
Then after time they learn how make there poses flow more smoothly

There's a certain 'artistic sense' that you either have or you don't. And the way you hit your poses becomes fixed early on. How many times don't we say, if he just hit his side chest like Arnold, instead of crunching up, he'd look so much better in that pose. But the way you hit your poses becomes ingrained early on, it's almost impossible to make someone change the way they hit their poses.
In the pros there's some real bad posers. How many of them became good? Can't think of one. Yet many of these hired choreographers etc.
-
Go for it...Robert, did offer to guest pose for free...Which is very generous .I off course, did give him $ because he was at our booth, and did guest pose.
Robert felt bad that the promoter didnt have a guest poser.
As far as cardio goes, Robert does 30 minutes before his first meal and 30 minutes at night. He trains for 45 minutes tops per day.
He is on low carbs, so when your on low carbs, you dont need more then 30 minutes twice per day.He just does the treadmill, and a ittle bit of the stair climber to work his glutes
You guys got to admit, his body looks 100 % better then he did at the Mr USA.
He is ony 31 years old so he has paenty of years to refine his posing, and his physique. You dont even hit your peak in bodybuiding until around 35.
-

What do you think about these guys doing 3 hours of cardio a day, plus training on zero carbs?? I'm watching videos of these guys and I can't believe this..is this overkill, or maybe their behind on their prep?? I seriously think I could eat Dunkin Doughnuts with every meal and still stay shredded if I was doing 3 hours of cardio..
-
Gof for it,,,,, if you doing 3 hours of cardio a 1 of 2 things, you are eithert stupid of fat as fu$#%....If you diet properly and keep your bodyfat under 12% off season you should hasve to do more then 45 minutes twice per day max.
I personaly think 30 and 30 is best.To much cardio releases cortisol and makes aot of guys look flat of stringy.
Whne training for a bodybuilding show, your training session should be longer then 45 minutes, and your cardio shoudnt be more then 30 + 30.
Especialy if you running on low carbs.
Alot of guys overtrain for a show especially natural bodybuilders.Thats why most of them look stringy, or smooth and stringy.
Once your body releases cortisol, from over dieting or over training it reay hard to fill your self back out.
The it was when I competed naturally, I tried to get stridated glutes, so I dieted, and cardio like crazy. When it came time to carb load, nothing would fil me out.
No matter what I ate my body just wouldnt fill out.I kept increasing my carbs, and red meat by the hour.I filled out a lil bit after eating 2 lbs of redmeat, and 600-700 grams of carbs.Which normaly 300 was more then enough for me.
I realy dont carb load, I have a good amount of carb, but I use redmeat, and fat load aswelll.

excuses excuses excuses excuses !
I posed better than that at my first show John.
it's not like he doesn't pose well, he is the worst poser I have ever seen for being a top national competitor ! ;D

branch warren didn't do shit for the ASC (according to him) and looked awesome

Oh really? And where did you read this?
He just ate and trained, then slapped on a little pro tan and oil--and stepped on stage, huh?
yeah, right.
-
Looks the best I have seen him so far. His back looks much improved. I dont know what it is but his legs do seem lacking maybe because his arms are SO BIG. Seems like he has some awesome potential if he keeps his stomach in check. He has the lower lat insertions to have a Olympia back.

what's so hard to believe
you think when they look shredded at 1 week out they need to look much different onstage
please ::)
-
He does know how to pose, but his transitions into poses, is really bad.
I need to show him how to make smooth transistions from one pose to the next.
Pus he needs to learn " cheater" poses, to make his tansistion smoother.
He has the size , the conditioning, now he just learn to make his transistion from one pose to the next flow look effortess
-
looks great, legs a bit small for his upper body, but a freak.
-
What do you think about these guys doing 3 hours of cardio a day, plus training on zero carbs?? I'm watching videos of these guys and I can't believe this..is this overkill, or maybe their behind on their prep?? I seriously think I could eat Dunkin Doughnuts with every meal and still stay shredded if I was doing 3 hours of cardio..
personally i think its unnecessary and its mostly palumbos guys who u see doing this..............also i think alot of his guys have to do this much cardio because i think most of their metabolisms have come to a complete halt because dave has most of them on protein/fat and protein/veggies meals only for up to 8-10 weeks at a time.............which can kill someones metabolism.
-
You can't teach posing! Either you can pose or you can't. There never was a bb who was a bad poser who then became a great poser.
I actually disagree van...
its like anything else in life if people fail to take action they dont achieve... the perceived benefit behind better posing is often not believed as worthy and therefore not worth the effort... I myself have been taught tricks in posing which have made differences... but once again how many people do we see in the gyms who same the same weight and look exactly the same year in year out... they never really do what it takes to change... same applies here... whilst I would agree that others are more rhythmically inclined for sure... perhaps a mark of personality traits etc...
-

Isn't it the same kind of diet that Magnum does ?
yet Magnum doesn't have his guys do a lot of cardio ?
-

I think you can teach posing. As you state above, I think that's more of the BBing of the current day being lazy and not wanting to take time and learn to pose correctly.
In the gym they're excited seeing the weight on the bar climb, people gawk and give compliments. But when posing, it's boring as hell, and nobody in a gym (very very select few) knows how a pose is hit correctly to enhance your body or hide what will make you lose points rather than gain. Some people may not experiment with poses and try to see how a twist of the waist, or holding your chest up will make them look better/worse.
Instead, you start posing, and your gym friends think you look great. Just because you may have decent forearms and they're the biggest your friends have ever seen, does not mean you can get away with it in front of judges! But your friends glad hand you all over, you stop posing and trying to do it correctly and you suck.
You can pretty much teach a retarded monkey to do anything- if he/she takes the time to learn.

Dude the guy was saying he was on zero fat and zero carbs...and he gets to add a little fat on some days...and 3 hours of cardio/also training..thats pretty insane prep.
-
I dont know what Palumbo does. But if he really does have guys doind 3 hours of cardio on low carbs, that insane. If a person is on llow carbs, 30 minuites before there first meal and 30 minutes after therev last meal is more then enough.
Robert was 290 lbs whne he started his contest diet, now he is right around 258-260 lbs and he is below 4% bodyfat, just doing 30 plus 30 cardo a day.
If you do to much cardio the body released cortisol, and once that happens game over.Plus to much cardio can cause surges of cortisol which is even worse.
If you have to do more then an hour a day total on a low carb diet, either your a fat ass, or your stupid.
Your diet, shoud get you lean.Cardio is just to rev up your metabolism and to hep you burn excess calories to get you even harder
As far as posing goes, you can teach someone how to pose.Robert knows how to pose, its just his transition from one pose to the next is bad.Robert is highly intelligent he taught himself how to speak 4 diffrent laguages, Lithuanian, Polish, Russian and English. So teaching him to to transition his poses will be easy

You would think it was possible. Just adjust a pose this way or that. But it just seems like people can't take advice wrt posing. :D
Some people got it, some don't. This guy got it.

Van thats is a bipolar man who either forgot to take his meds or drank alcohol with his meds.True story, about 16 years ago , I went on a few dates with this model. She was a knockout.Anyways, she told me she was on Prozac, at the time nobody really even knew what Prozac was.Well anyways, she had a couple of drinks and she started palying hide and seek with herself.Nobody at the bar including me werent playing, she was playing hide and seek with herself.I acted like I didnt know her, and lost her number and ignored all her phone calls after that.
Robert did this guest posing on 2 days notice, plus they made him wait backstage in the pump up room for an hour and a half when they told him it would only be 15 minutes. So he was nervous and irratated. He was guest posing a favor. They didnt pay him anything.I gave him some $ because he was at our booth, and he did guest pose.

nah magnums diet has similar principles, but its alot different.
and i dont think too many of magnums guys do over an hour a day, and thats only if they are behind............the diet does most of the work.
-

he was in a natural show a couple years ago near Annapolis. i don't think i ever laughed that hard as i did when he was posing.

Cardio makes me so fucking flat
I tried the palumbo diet this year and I was down to 195 lbs at one point, I stopped the cardio and added the carbs back and I was 215 a week later looking much tighter

The main thing we did with Robert, was we got his condtitioning down. His muscle are more stridated, and alot more reffined then the the USA's.This week we wil work on his posing, and his transition from one pose to the next.
You got to admit he looks 1000 % now then he did at the Mr USA 4 months ago.
At the USA's he was soft, and lacked detail. Now he is hard, detailed and is stridated.
Robert has never guest posed before and is new to bodybuilding, to he is evolving quickly over a short amount of time.He has only been bodybuilding a little over 3 year,s and has only competed in 4 shows.
Anybody knows the more shows you do, the better your posing gets, because you get more confident being on that stage.
You can tell he was nervous in this video, and he was doing his best not to show it.Trust at Nationals his posing and his physique will dead dead on !!!

Do you bash Docotrs because when the write a prescritption there writing sucks?
No... I admit my typing sucks, and I really dont give a fu#$# .
My typing sucks because I have big hands, and I have a secretary who does all my letters, answers my replies to emails etc etc.
I am however good at formulationg and working with athletes.Every athlete I work with wins or places in every show.
So yes my typing sucks my hand writing is horrible, but I am goood at what I do.

Just use spell check and learn from it.

I always read GetItOnNY's posts with Macho Man Randy Savage's voice in my mind for some reason. I always end it with an oooooooooooh yheeeaaaa also

you can't use spellcheck to know the difference between 'there' and 'their'. you need a brain for that.

your write "stridated" not once but TWICE in the same message... that has nothing to do with being a bad typer... you are uneducated... plain & simple.

Look at the moon, not the finger!!!
You misspell many words, repeat them and continue to spell them incorrectly and you are horrible at making paragraphs. You often repeat yourself in posts too. No reason to say "Robert Burneika" 28 times in one post. You do not use quotation marks, you make mistakes using words that while they may be spelled correctly, they're still wrong. Principle and principal, reed and read for example.
And that's not even going as far as you saying you have big hands, that's a sorry excuse! Big hands type wrong? Greg Kovacs has bigger hands, and his posts were actually decently typed.
You wreak of being a typical meathead!
Typing mistakes have nothing to do with hand writing, as you say. ::)

So I dont have alll day to post on getbig.
If you have nothing better to do them pick apart other peoples posts, get a life

Good job young blood thank you......spot on.I forgot his name, and for some reason coudnt think of it.I could place his face, but not the name....Thank you again
Change of tone now that I've picked apart your post, rather than helping you, eh?
I guess while keeping your mother alive, you have time to post about Vic Richards? Where is the relevance in that?
And since I hit quite a nerve with you (this time, I'm sure when I help you like when I did above, you'll have a change of heart), I will continue to pick apart your posts.
My screen name is YoungBlood. Not Youngblood, young blood or anything else. It's right in front of you and you missed that....twice as evidenced above.
I think you misspelled the words "damn" as dam, "grammar" as grammer (2x), "usually" as usualy, "numerous" as numerious, "successful" as succesful, and "all" as alll. "Godsake" is two words...Gods sake. You used the wrong form of "you're" as your. "You're" is used when you say "you are." "Your" is used as in "Your writing sucks donkey dick." You also say "dont" which is supposed to be "don't" or "do not."
You own a successful company? That's great! More power to you. Would you buy anything from someone that you know is a social retard? I know one company I won't buy from because I know the guy that runs it can't spell basic words because he has big fingers. It's like buying an Indy race car from a Grandma that can't see over the steering wheel; you don't really trust her because of this facet of her personality.
Now, to some well educated people, my writing skills (possibly lack of) might look atrocious. When compared to some, it's like reading an Ivy League students term paper. But I attempt to present myself in a manner that seems educated, rather than a stereotypical gorilla. But I make an attempt to present myself well enough to be understood. Since you're (notice the spelling there...as in 'since you are') running such a successful business there, why not at least pay a little attention to the spell check? GetBig has its own spell check that takes all of 2 seconds to use. Mozilla Firefox has the checker built in, if you use that browser.
For what it's worth, you may not have time to use a spell checker, with running a big league company and taking care of your ailing mother (which I applaud you for, honestly), as well as posting on another board. But you spent just enough time to make a post out to me. I'm glad too. Your posts are like looking at a picture from the "Where's Waldo?" books. Entertaining to see how you butcher the most simple of words, and do so with such flair.
So long "mammoth 702."

I have gotten a lot of PM's asking me Robert Burneika's training split. So here you go
Monday Chest and Traps
Tueday Quads
Wednesday Shoullders and Tri's
Thursday off
Friday Back and Bi's
Saturday Hamstrings
Sunday off
I didnt give him this rotation its the one he likes to do.I would do
Monday Chest
Tuesday quads, or legs
Wednesday Back
Thursday Shoulders
Friday Arms
Saturday off, or do hamstrings if I didnt do them on Tuesday with quads
Sunday off
Roberts training spit works for him, and if it "aint broke" dont fix it.
With a training spit you have to learn what works for you. Everybody is differnt , you cant use the cookie cutter approach with ever athlete like a lot of trainers and so-called gurus tend to do.
