Incline all the way, decline is for the lower chest...

cable crossovers with the attachment down near the floor works for me.

Also incline everything of course.

The position of your hands is the most important factor. Why? Because that determines where the downward force of the weight is concentrated.

Close grip benches work the inner pecs because those muscles are in the best (most direct) position to counteract downward force of the weight. Wide grips work the outer pecs for same reason. Ditto for inclines (upper pecs) and declines (lower).

Of the two exercises shown, the stability ball pushups would be better for upper pecs. Elevating the legs moves the guys' center of gravity towards his head so, naturally the hands would move up higher towards the upper pecs. The other exercise moves the center of gravity to the guys' feet. So, he has to compensate by moving his hands lower and therefore works his lower pecs.

i rarely if ever get sore in my upper pecs, even when doing feet elevated pushups, i only get a slight tenderness at best. I find that not locking out and not going all the way up further hits the upper pecs and allows for a constant stretch

I think if you have to ask which applies more stress on the upper pecs then there is a lot you don't understand about simple body mechanics and you probably won't get much out of the excercise anyway.

This whole muscle separation bullshit... you ever did dips the right way? You won't need any incline or decline presses... dips, bench and your pecs and triceps are done... same with the back... those people that choose like 20 exercises to cover the whole back, i don't see them growing... just do your pull-ups and deadlifts, that's it!

Do normal push ups till you can't go on anymore... and this will induce growth in the whole pectoral area.

Yes, but was Dorian natural? I'm a natural myself, and I know many other guys who stay tiny because they simply overtrain, some of them start to use roids, and then they see some progress, otherwise it's too much for the body...

I assume that the thread starter is a natural too, because it's mostly naturals that ask shit like how you can separate this or that muscle... guys on drugs grow  anyway, it doesn't matter if he's doing ez-bar curls  or barbell curls...

My body doesn't respond to traditional weight lifting,

so I'm having to experiment with some new approaches
