Hundreds of Brazilians have protested against a visit by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is on a South American tour aimed at boosting economic and political ties with the region.

A diverse group of demonstrators marched for peace and against the Iranian president's controversial comments on Israel, racism and homosexuals, as well as his country's nuclear activities.

Al Jazeera's Lucia Newman reports.

Uh...Maybe it is me, but what the hell does the stance Ahmandinejad has with Israhell have to do with BRAZIL??? There is more RACISM in Brazil with whites against the Brazilians than anywhere. If the backwards Brazilians want to protest something they should be protesting the WORLD BANK which is the reason for their poverty,; they should be protesting the fact that 400,000 Brazilian children DIE every year from improper nutrition even though Brazil is the SECOND LARGEST FOOD EXPORTER IN THE WORLD; they should be protesting the american corporations coming into Brazil with their dangerous chemicals, tainted livestock and corrupt businesses.
