I was busy amking two batches of cornbread, pumpkin donuts and prepping the stuff for the mushroom soup and the dressing for the salad.

some more.  My soup pic is from a recipe i found,  using there pic since i forgot to take one.  My garnish set up is different and i used cinsume bowls intead.

i made the cornbread stuffing, cranbery sauce with cointreau, and other stuff but didn't take pics.  i love food lol

How did you do your turkey?  Looks alot like mine  ;D which was done on the Weber

The picture makes him look scrawny - but he wasn't!  I think it was 14#

not my idea.  I rolled the goat cheese in an herb mixture and set it all aside.  My sister came and said that we need more than the cheese and other stuff i had for appetizers.  She went out and got the weines.  She also found my party tray and cut the brie so it would fit and added the sausages to the platter.

I brined it and baked it on 400 for 35 minutes then dropped it down toand cooked it until it was 162 degrees then tented it to rest.  No basting needed.  Came out super juicy.

i was a little perturbed.  I had a platter I was going to use since i was going to marry the cheese with grapes, strawberries and figs.  oh well.  I wanted to carmelize the figs but decided not too in the end.

It was good!  I doubled the amount of mushrooms and added baby portobellos, since i wanted to make sure it had deep flavor.

they didn't make it to the table.  in fact, they never left the kitchen lol.  I do have standards after all.  if i could only apply those to women...
