Publisher’s Weekly confirmed that she sold 700,000 copies of “Going Rogue” in its first week out of 2.5 million copies.
“Going Rogue” sold 7 times as many copies at the book stores as “The Audacity Of Hope” sold in its first week, Nielsen reported.
Her latest post on Facebook mirrored my own feelings on liberal priorities:

With Congress and President Obama spending money on everything at breakneck speed, it’s interesting that they are only now getting nervous about spending – but only when it comes to providing the necessary funds to complete our mission in Afghanistan. They don’t need a new “war tax” to fund a strategy for victory in the war zone. They simply need to prioritize our money appropriately.
I find it telling that the Pelosi-Reid Congress is only cost-conscious when it comes to our national defense. Scary. Nonsensical. Unacceptable.

I read Palins' book. It was very good and you get an insight into who she is as a person and what her agenda is. The idiots who keep mocking her have not and just are all too giddy like 12 y/o girls to hop over anything she says while ignoring the complete disaster they helped elect whose ignorance ecplises anything she has done by far.

One of our friendly local/liberal new channels reported a similar story, but rather than comparing Palin’s sales figures to Obama’s lesser selling book, they instead compared them to Bill Clinton’s much greater selling book.
Strangely enough, they never compared Obama’s book to Clinton’s when it was released.

I read both Obama books and just finnished Palins.Its amazing that a man that is considered brilliant by the left can put out such a dry uninteresting book and a women the left deems a moron can have a book and a life thats 100 times more interesting.

I just finished Palin's book. Everyone knows I like her alot. That being said, I came away very impressed with her for stuff she gets no credit for. The lies that were told about her and what she had to endure would make most others crack.
BTW - do you guys know that her teleprompter broke half way through her convention speech and she ad libbed a lot and rememberd it from memory? Barry could never have done that. She also changed her kids dirty diaper two minutes before the speech.
There are a ton of things in that book that shed light on why the campaign itself sucked. She also discussed the Couric interview at length and said that Couric asked her the same question on abortion 15 times!
The libs would also be surprised how she dealt with the oil companies and how she went after the corrupt pols in her state.

About what? She gives an inside vview to the campaign and the crap that went on. i volunteered for McCain for a week in PA and will tell you that compared to GWB, this was a horribly run mess.

I hope, if you do read it, you have a Kindle. It's going to be impossible for you to copy and paste from a real book.

That's not what i said at all Billy. But for a lot of writers selling a book as a commercial success isn't the driving factor. Just like movies, some independent movies are fantastic but barely break even meanwhile 'blockbusters' make millions but say little and will be forgotten long before the popcorn has been picked up.

Palin wrote a book in the height of her popularity/public interest after a VP campaign. Obama wrote his memoirs before there was much public interest. If you think about it...it's quite pompous to write a memoir book for sale before you really did anything. Anyone else think it's odd Obama published a book in 1995, before he was even elected? Keep a personal journal.
