ah, the Midwest.  In parts of north and south dakota people still think Eisenhower is president. Life was good, then.....if you were a white male.

black UE and poverty were less than too.

{surely you are not suggesting that their poverty was less because they had jobs as maids, gardeners and Otis Elevator operaters - homage to Mad Men -}

The 50's are demonized by the left for some issues, but they refuse to recogonize the many great things that happened during that time as well.
