alot of people don't know the story behind the Gannon kimbo fight...Gannon had seen the fights on the internet and trained for months then contacted kimbo out of the blue and called him out...at the time kimbo had been on hiatus and not training or fighting but still took the fight on a few days notice...
that being said...I believe Brock is the second most overrated fighter behind kimbo...I do think in an MMA fight Brock would win....but in a strictly stand up fight Kimbo would take him...

alot of people don't know the story behind the Gannon kimbo fight...Gannon had seen the fights on the internet and trained for months then contacted kimbo out of the blue and called him out...at the time kimbo had been on hiatus and not training or fighting but still took the fight on a few days notice...

you have got to be kidding me.. brock's stand up is devastating. kimbo would have to land WAYYYYYY more knockout strikes than brock while two or three good hits from brock kimbo would have to learn how to walk all over again. i know brock is relatively inexperienced and new to mma but he's def favored by a wide margin.

ha ha Brock's stand up is devastating...you should really stick to talkin about what you know..although I'm not sure what that is...Brock is very limited in his stand up & has no submission game what so ever....he has his wrestling that allows him to ground & pound...thats it....ha ha devastating stand up....take that shit to a real MMA forum like MMALinker or sherdog & you'll get laughed off there with the quickness...ha ha to funny....

brocks stand up is VERY devastating, esp. for a newcomer and certainly compared to kimbo of all fighters. cant believe you think kimbo's stand up is anything compared to lesnar. kimbo's entire career before mma was terrible. he fought big dudes who didn't know anything more about fighting than he did, thats it. obviously training with rutten has improved him a great deal but his game is still nothing to write home about. lesnar wins by big punches, bigger power, and a massive ground and pound advantage. lesnars size advantage alone is more than considerable.

gannon was a better fighter as is brock.. you're right about kimbo being overrated but for how new lesnar is to mma he's doing extremely well while kimbo has been "fighting" for years is far more hyped.
other than his mouth and his attitude there really isn't much to discredit about brock esp. when it comes to his striking. he has the same effect kerr did back in the day.. instilling fear in his opponents. kimbo has a lot more to do to earn the respect of seasoned mma athletes.
and you can blame me for injecting race all you want.. fact is kimbo was made popular by all the black guys happy to see a thug get thrown in mma regardless of how much better he SHOULD be. it's all show biz and no talent, at least not yet. all the fighters who said his presence cheapens the sport were right.

I think it was more all the clowns who watched the youtube videos more so than just black guys, None of the black guys I work with could give a flying fuck about Kimbo Slice.
