Title: What is George Farrah doing different?
Post by: Wiggs on November 29, 2009, 12:59:14 PM
His gays seem to be doing very well in amatuer and pro level.  What does he do different?
I know he advocates high carbs and alot less cardio then other advisors.

 :D

Btw, I like George's approach. protein and carbs with just trace fats... basically the same Chris Aceto does.

in MD this month (Fouad/Pukalski canadian cover), Farah practically writes out an entire pre-contest diet and peaking carb-up plan, down to the calorie and carb/protein grams

Adding fats pre-contest is not a good idea IMO..........people would be amazed at how much trace fat they are getting in their clean pre-contest meals without adding more.

I was wondering the same thing but about Hany Rambod.  There is an interview with him in the Jan 2010 MD and he says Jay's training remained pretty well exactly the same for a long time and it appeared that just a change by itself made a huge difference.  Perhaps George is similar in the way that he tries something pretty unorthodox given the bodybuilder's background and keeps an eye on things to see how progress is going and tweaks it from there.  Similar to a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book.  ;D

But I have no idea really.  Victor Delcampo talks a little about George's diet here:

I believe that he is very close to winning his class and I half expected him to win it this year.

I tell you how those gurus are.

They are nothing but gurus of chemical. About diet, there are huge difference between individuals(ex: For some, potato works better than rice...etc). SO about nutrition and training, there is no guru really.
