i swear, wtf is it with the chinks and their love of making animals suffer before they eat them? why, oh why, would anyone think that by preparing, cooking (fried), and serving a fish alive on a plate, that it would make said fish, taste better/?

next thing you know, they'll be skinning dogs alive before they cook them, in some sort of warped believe that the meat will taste better.. oh wait!  ::)

Oh, go cry a river. Not much better than animals that are brutally slaughtered a week prior. Have you seen how animals are processed? It's fucking barbaric, enough to make weak minded fools turn to vegetarianism and veganism. I'm privy to what goes on but it can't be helped. I try buying locally and from places that have a better reputation but that's as far as I go. Hopefully the meat that I buy was killed with as little unnecessary BS torture as possible.

BTW, don't fish feel nothing anyway? And aren't their brains so tiny that their memory = shit? Either way, I don't give a shit of a fish is cooked alive. Think of the millions that are eaten alive daily in the animal kingdom. I'd rather my chinky brethren eat these fish than a stupid shark or whale.

They're just very foreign to you which makes it hard to understand.

I'm Filipino, Chinese and Greek but I'm white washed as fuck. Living with my fiance for two years and chilling with her family, I've experienced so much crazy shit and now it's not so nasty anymore. Pork blood, tripe, tendon, I'll eat that shit up no problem. It would have made me puke years ago, but it's actually not too bad. You've just got to understand that they're literally on the other side of the planet. After thousands of years of segregation, once we meet each other we're going to be strange as fuck to one another.

Culinary preferences aside, think of all the disgusting and shameful shit that North Americans do. At least Asians aren't fat, disgusting slobs that drill burgers into their gut and fuck each other over. North America has a lot of money and likes to think that it's an important place, but is it really that much better than dog eating chinks?

I had to go to china for work and spent about 2 weeeks or so there, I tell you the hardest part was getting used to the food, I saw some weird shit man!   They cooked bats ALIVE on the side of the road.  And ate this interesting dish like a snake on a stick - its like the most popular thing there like a humburger in the US.

Other than the food, the country was amazing and the people were extremely polite and caring people!

I've lived in China for over a year. Once as an exchange student and once as a kindergarten teacher.

Amazing people! Although I'm no fan of Chinese food, I will definitely be moving back there in a few years.

I can't believe this racist thread hasn't been deleted yet.

I'm sure as a visitor it was amazing to you...but if you were a citizen you probably wouldn't be saying the same things..my guess is that you are not subject to such things as...

The one-child policy, in conjunction with the traditional preference for male children, has led to a resurgence of practices like female infanticide, concealment of female births and abandonment of female infants. Female children whose births are not registered do not have any legal existence and therefore may have difficulty going to school or receiving medical care or other state services. The overwhelming majority of children in orphanages are female and/or mentally or physically handicapped.

The one-child policy has also contributed to the practice of prenatal sex identification resulting in the abortion of female fetuses. Although the government has outlawed the use of ultrasound machines for this purpose, physicians continue the practice, especially in rural areas. Thus, while the average worldwide ratio of male to female newborns is 105/100, Chinese government statistics show that the ratio in the PRC is 114/100 and may be higher in some areas. \

Or...

Lack of Judicial Independance and Due Process

Few legal safeguards exist in China to ensure fair trials, and the judicial system is controlled at every level by CCP political-legal committees that may determine the outcome of cases before the court hears evidence presented at trial. Legal scholars within China have called for an end to this widespread practice of "verdict first, trial second." With the political-legal committees exercising extensive control, detainees are highly unlikely to receive fair, impartial hearings that are free from official manipulation.

Quite interesting this is changing and changing rapidly - there was a very interesting documentary on a while back - due to their relentless one child policy they have a serious problem regarding the lack of females - Chinese men do anything to get married and the woman can pick the partner they want - it was bizzare to see what these guys do in order to get married - down to actual kidnapping.

So as always in china the government stepped in and poor farmes are getting a lot of  benefits if they keep and raise a girl now.

Yes, I'm well aware of the assholes in charge in China, which is why it's such a  double tragedy. Everyone there was so great to me. Just great people.

I would still love to go back. Plus, I loves me some Chinese women. They make my ding dong rigid.

Funny. In the US slaughterhouses (packing plants), cows and pigs are regularly and routinely delimbed and skinned and occasionally eviscerated while still alive and mooing or screaming in pain.

Other countries have nothing on our ability to needlessly inflict pain upon our future hot dogs and hamburgers.

Most of the time shrimp is never sold alive.  They are killed on the ship to freeze quickly.  While most people want lobsters and crab alive.

Yeah, I'm not a vegetarian/animal rights type, but far worse goes on in Western slaughterhouses etc.

Oh yeah, the country isn't without huge glaring flaws. It's sad. Nice place to visit for us as foreigners but the repression is brutal.

I studied in Vietnam for a few months. Their Cuisine is World class. The French influence and their techniques make it the best food in SE Asia.

Fuck yeah, man. Just noticed your screen name so I'm sure you know all about Viet cuisine. I'm glad that there's someone here who has a deep understanding and appreciation for it as well. My momma-in-law lived in Southern Vietnam which was once Northern Cambodia before the shitstorms, so a lot of their cuisine is similar. She cooks primarily Viet food unless Cambodian friends come over.

To draw a parallel between the two, they've summed it up as Cambodian food basically being similar but a LOT stinkier.... I have found this to be completely true. When I can get past some of the awkward stenches (not aromas - stench) some of it is pretty wicked. I'll still take Viet over Cambodian any day though - so much fresher and livelier flavors. :D

Not usually. The worst I've seen in a Viet restaurant is people using cooked steak in their Pho. Aside from that, there are a lot of kosher dishes so there's really no need to Americanize it.

One time I saw a short hair, dyke-lookin' bish ask for brown rice in my buddies restaurant. He just looked at her like "what the fuck, do you see how fucking small and slanty my eyes are"... she started throwing a small tantrum and her friend had to calm her down. Fucking girl was pouting and complaining the whole time. I felt like knocking her out.

used to be a vegetarian many years ago, decided to go back to it after my trip to Alaska this summer. But I dont think i can do it all out, So 90 /10  or 80 /20 vegetarian is good for me. Save meat for dinning out with friends, holidays, or after hard work out. So far been doing it three months.

We shouldn't be cruel to animals. True.

Eating them is a whole different story. Though I will agree that we eat too much meat in our society, and I say that too because os the issue of sustainability... a lot easier to feed people on a [mostly] vegetarian diet; less expenditure of resources such as manpower, land, power, etc.

Animals are being treated with cruelty in our animal farms precisely because there's too many fucking people so its just a matter of keeping up with demands.
