The 2009 NPC Excalibur is the last NPC contest of the year in Southern California, where over 170 competitors are going to meet up. The location is the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Culver City. The featured guest poser will be Kris Murrell, who just won the overall at the NPC National’s in women’s bodybuilding. We will be there taking pictures and more. For more information, go to www.musclecontest.com. See you there!

Wait...
A show of this exCALIBUR and all they can get is a just-turned-pro female bodybuilder who nobody except for balding bespectacled schmoes (no offense, Ron... you aren't balding) will care to see?
- Block!
-
Actually, she is as cool as can be and what a female bodybuilder should look like. I am very impressed by Kris Murrell!

I also like a good looking Natural physique. So many women get into the drugs and end up like men.Always good to see a Drug free female.

$25??
website says $30 for prejudging, $30/40 for evening show. yes, that is very high.
that's why I stopped attending. that plus being hassled for having too 'professional' looking camera.

LOL..my bad...$30
So what would you consider a "fair" price, since you believe $30 to be "very high"??
-
i paid 30 and didnt bring a camera...oh yes did blackberry

its not $30, its $30 for the prejudging, and then another $40 for the evening show.

$40 for both would be reasonable, maybe even $45, and I promise not to watch any of the bikini, figure or fitness stuff
-
'its not $30, its $30 for the prejudging, and then another $40 for the evening show."
Wow... $70 to watch both sections... I know when the NPC show was in my town, it was $25 for everything I believe.

Or use your IFBB Pro card then it's FREE BABY.

234 competitors were on stage yesterday. The place was packed, busiest contest in Southern California easily. Prejuding started around 10am and went to 4pm. Finals went from 6:30pm to around 11:30pm. Seriously busy show with very high quality competitors.
-
Thanks for the update Ron.
-
$30 is not a lot for a nght show ticket! Lol...
-
It is if you only have $10.
-
:)
-
:)
Damn.....to bad I to pick the hardest year to enter (07') >:(

guess that's it. Lindsey can charge $70 and still fill the auditorium with family members of the contestants. He doesn't need regular fans of bodybuilding.
-
This year has been a banner year for NPC contests. Record crowds and competitors in California competitions. Now figure and bikini have a lot to do with that too. But you are right - friends and family are a major part of the audience. But there are a lot of fans too. Hence, why the Veterans Auditorium was full.
-
Why does Troy Tate do the show, when he just did nationals?

New rule that National Qualification is only good for a year...So he had to requalify...
-
I wanna gongratulate the overall winner in figure (pink bikini)
My very dear friend Helene Ahlson from Sweden :)

I agree with you. I haven't PAID to go to a non National NPC show since 2007. The USA is bad enough but more worth the trip to Vegas.
