Title: When you think about your best condition
Post by: calfzilla on December 02, 2009, 06:55:53 PM
What do you feel?  Sad?  Motivated to replicate it?

I just shake my head because I would kill to be at my best again.  And it angers me that AT my best I still wasn't happy cuz I still need to drop about 15 more pounds to be truly satisfied with my condition.   ::)

yeah it sucks.  2 years ago I came a girl hair away from having visible abs.  I got lazy, got fat and now I'm 35 pounds heavier.  All fat, bloated and feel like shit.

Yes, motivated to replicate it and kind of sad but not sad enough to replicate it I guess.

I think about how miserable I was and glad that I'm married now and the wife prefers the "perma-bulk"

Motivated to replicate it but I'm pretty sure that even if I did exceed I still wouldn't be happy with the outcome and would want to improve on that further - that's the nature of bodybuilding for you.

Never will be happy enough.thats just how it goes.

my best condition ever was this past summer and I'm still close to that so I'm pretty content for now.

Pretty much the same here - don't think I'll ever be completely happy (always tend see what still needs work).

sounds similar to me.  i looked my best at 21 when i did my last show, quit training for almost 5 years and now i'm back(2 wks now) on that same long road :(  but i'm more motivated than ever to replicate and exceed my past physique!

i still have the same drive and motivation as when was in my best condition.

but some of that same motivation, drive, and money are being divided amongst my family now. i just have to find the right formula for where i am in my life now.

it was easy then. i lived on my own, had a decent paying job, and no real bills. i lived and breathed me.

You can not go from where you were, only from where you are.

My best was right before I got married, back in 2006.  Now that I am back on program, I wonder why I got off it.  Nutrition is really simple, only took 3 or 4 days to get back in the right habits.  The after workout pump is awesome.  I can believe I traded all that away for Tacos and an extra beer night a week.

I`ll be 55 this June and plan on exceeding my best ever condition.

Getting fucking old is a great motivator!!  :(

I was happy at my precontest conditioning weighing 175lbs with below 6%BF. BUT, I was most happy at 190lbs with 9-10%BF. Right now I am shooting to get down to about 185lbs staying just under 10%BF. At 213lbs right now and working my diet and cardio!!!
