I'm here.....anyway I'll post some quick observations.
I'm in Kirkuk....its where the Kurds and Arabs meet..they don't like each other but we're making it work. We've pulled back from all or most of the cities south of Bagdad and we're one of the last major areas where we're still in the city. AQ is pretty much done. We and the ISF..Iraq Security Forces still get IED's but the IED experts are long dead..and the IED's are usually inaffective. THE ISF has taken the lead in killing or capturing the shitbags and we're limited in acting alone. Only SOF can do what they want to do without permission or letting ISF know whats going on and most of their ops are with ISF SOF anyway. I live in a tin can..plenty of gyms and food is good but Afghanistan was better. Kid Rock was here yesterday and we got plenty of pics. I wake up to machine gun fire every morning..it adds to the ambiance. I'm headed to a IDP or refugee camp on monday, that should prove interesting. Neither the Kurds or Arabs are interested in seeing us leave despite what the Iraqi gov might say...their military would prefer us stick round...especially the Kurds....I will post some pics etc soon.

My guys are filming a range today....so I can see what we get. Honestly besides our SOF..we're not doing alot of door kicking. All the action is in Afghanistan. Our Bde is a heavy Bde and we didn't bring a single tank...we have plenty of MRAP varients...all mad maxed out with sensors and armor and crap.

My guys are filming a range today....so I can see what we get. Honestly besides our SOF..we're not doing alot of door kicking. All the action is in Afghanistan. Our Bde is a heavy Bde and we didn't bring a single tank...we have plenty of MRAP varients...all mad maxed out with sensors and armor and crap.
sounds like a good vacation. Do they have booze, heroin, weed, etc.. like in Vietnam?

Bde = Brigade
MRAP = Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles.
What are the temps like HH6? Still brutally hot or cooling down?

The food is pretty awsome...but after 12 months it will tend to suck. We have fat kid sunday where we have desert otherwise its chicken breast and beef etc...the weather is cold..look up Kirkuk. It raining today. U bastards might see me on Friday as we have a VIP coming in. I will be working behind the scenes for it...watch Fox on FridayRolled out today in one of our new tin cans...the MRAPS are bad ass...there are so many dfferent kinds. Those guys are AF. They have a BK/Pizza Hut and Taco hell run by Indians or Paki's...not good, not that Ive tried em. They had a great Subway on Bargram AF in Afghanistan..shit actually looked like the pics and ads...and a great pizza place. The new body armor..while effective is ridiculous...u need a buddy to get it all fitted right. Ok u guys take it easy..rolling out tommorrow.
