Title: Bob Chick question
Post by: Wiggs on December 05, 2009, 05:31:43 PM
Bob,

Why not have all bodybuilders competing in a show weigh in the morning of the show in trunks only (no homo).

It might not be important to alot of people but it is clear as day that Dexter isn't 235 and Phil isn't 240.

What would the point be?  There are no weight classes in the open pro division...

who cares?

I knew you'd say that....The point is we are told in magazines, video and on the internet by the guys themselves and other they weigh a certain weight...If it wasn't important, their weight wouldn't be mentioned all the time.  It's psychological more then anything.  I'd just like an accurate weight.

Either that or put "billed at"

You think they should weigh people like they did in 88?

Lonnie Teper made it a point to have a weigh-in at the Ironman for years...99% of the weights projected by the pro's was spot on give or take a few lbs....

Bottom line is....it doesnt matter what you weigh, what matters is how much you LOOK like you weigh...

These are the guys that step on the scales with  their sweat suits, shoes on and keys in their pockets....What's the hurt in getting an accurate weight?

haha it's supposed to be a physique competition so wouldn't revealing each competitors' true bodyweight be a somewhat interesting stat for fans of the "sport"?
Bob, are you acknowledging that bodybuilding has no (or very few) real fans?

It would ad a new dimension to the SPORT (BEAUTY PAGEANT) and would be kinda cool, have the other pros there also, banter going on, jokes. All good fun

And while your weighing them, have a measuring scale at the back. So we can know there weight and height. Would save hundreds of threads on HOW TALL IS, HOW MUCH DOES BLAH BLAH WEIGH.

I think most of the people who follow bodybuilding would like to know the weight of the competitors.
