Andreas Munzer should have taken this show
Flex was a close second
-
very thick backs....
-
Munzer is more ripped than the rest but it goes unoticed at that level, and that little difference is what killed him. Too bad he thought he needed to go that extra yard, when it really wasnt necessary.

Are Baker's calves fake? Weren't they really weak about 1 year before this?

I think it's very noticable how much more ripped Munzer is than most of the others. Didn't people say because of his comparitive lack of size that he was "living on his striations", haha. Baker had the size but his condition was unimpressive which cost him. Flex's uneven conditioning on his flabby hams is what puts him in second, plus a lot less thickness than Francois, who nailed it that year!

Flex looked good there.

Ronnie looked better ;)

Flex looked pretty good for someone coming off of a severe neck injury. But he deserved 2nd place. His hams and lower back are softer than his 1993 form. In essence, we are seeing the downward spiral of Flex. I remember him saying that he saw the 1994 Mr. O and was in awe, said he couldn't stand up those monsters. So for 1995, he tried to overcompensate. I firmly believed if Flex came in slightly heavier, like one or two pounds heavier than his 1993 form (216 pound for the 93 ASC) he would have won.
I've always been a fan of Francois, a little more polish, and he just might have won a Mr. O.

was labrada really off at this show or he was just the same as his previous shapes but it was just the time to kick him out?
-
Labrada wasnt as sharp anymore, difficult to compete against monsters such as Clairmonte, Francois, Levrone, Yates, Nasser, that had top conditioning as well, whilst he was a smaller guy with great shape, but couldnt realistically beat them if they were "on".
Its good he hung it up whilst at the top. Instead of dragging it out ala Bannout, Nasser, Gaspari, etc

i am just wondering because from these pics he looks the same or let me say close to his best shape that had made him 2nd at AC 93 and 4th at Mr. O of the same year.. how come to put him behind clairmonte and munzer all of a sudden like this??.. i personaly feel clairmonte had a great physique and could beat labrada but logically it seemed to me as if "they" just wanted him out because the type of his physique belonged to a previous era so they treated with him harshly and not as before!!..

I remember reading a Flex dedication or Big Picture article of him, it said his highest weight was 196! He was definitely of a diff era.

I still have the VCR tape, i recoreded it when it came on tv!
-
:o :o :o :o awesome proportions, down somewhat in size but still awesome lines

His 1st place at the 95 AC put him as one of the expected top contenders for the Olympia that year but instead he got 7th place and the NOC winner (Nasser El Sonbaty) demolished him at the Olympia that year (getting 3rd), and every time Nasser and Francois competed after that Nasser beat him. It just took the judges till 95 to accept that fact, and that's why they unfairly gave Francois 1st and Nasser 2nd at the 94 NOC.

Flex's best was in '98 -- even Arnold said that was the best bodybuilder he's ever seen step on stage. He combined excellent condition with good size and his crazy shape. Flex was just getting back to competing in the '95 Arnold's after that car wreck.

trust me, the 1998 ASC wouldve been tough for Flex and Nasser if Francios showed up. Mike was HUGE 6 weeks out.....better than ever. But Mike literally almost died right before the show.

Mike was great but no way he beats an "on" Flex
