costs about 5 grand to get qualified and registered here as a trainer.

you have to have the registration to get a job in every gym too because their insurers require you are registered with fitness australia who regulate the industry.

You coming from the US?  My parents reckoned Perth was expensive when they visited & my understanding is that Sydney is even more so, especially when it comes to renting a place.  I pay $310/wk and Sydney would probably be about twice that.  If you've got your digs sorted out it might not be too bad tho.

Can't help you with trainer $.

I was there briefly about 5 years ago and took a quick look.  If I remember right anywhere I'd settle for was over $700/wk.  Fuck that.

Goddammit i was in Hungrey Jacks today on Oxford Street (gay central of Sydney - B4 you ask i have a customer there i was seeing) and after i ordered i stood at the side and would not look up. Used to it now but i have no intention of catching a gay guy's eyes who is looking at me to see if i'm gay and want to fuck. It was full of them and i could sense eyes on me.

The only other straight thing in there were the fries.

Hi Bro,  :)

Do you believe that he suffered from food poisoning..?

Well, when I first heard that I kinda believed him, however, afterward I heard from expert he just over did diuretics.  Moreover, the same excuse was used from top NPC Competitor this year  ???

So I don't think food poisoning always happen hours before the contest  ;)

To the main topic hasn't Fitness First Fucked the market in Sydney up????

I would say there are a few Trainers in my gym who know what they are doing. Some of them, fuck me, no idea. I cannot believe how they train people.

I couldn't handle dealing with unmotivated idiots anyway.

Fitness First is shit, but there are other chains which are quite ok. Vision is pretty good.

But $25 an hour isn't it? You cannot make more?

It's good as a starting PT job but for a long term career you want to build up clients and i don't think Vision would be the place to do it working like that.

Yeah, long term isn't the best with Vision, unless you become a studio manager/buy into the franchise.

The good thing about vision is they give you clients when you first start out, so if you play your cards right, you can have a fairly soild client base within a short amount of time, without too much scouting around. and they pay you for evey new client you bring in and pretty much write the programs for you.

Good and bad elements to it.

I have relatives there in SYDNEY in KELLYVILLE and they always call me to go there on my school holydays but I never went! Now am thinking to go there this holydays to see how`s there...how is to live there, working opportunities etc...people,places to go out...and food is it expensive...am from ITALY!

Thats about half hour from where I used to live in Sydney, Areas like that have only been developed recently - in the past 10 years - so you'll find alot of housing estates built for a market of new families, young executive couples, you know 4-5 bedrooms, study, ensuite blah blah blah, but this is just Kellyville (part of an area known as the Hills district) so I'm not sure about your situation but as a single guy unless you're pulling in 70-80k minimum I wouldn't really bother with areas like that. Sydney is a great place I want to start a family there (im in Brisbane, Queensland atm) and growing up there plus having a reasonably good sense of the house markets and perks/cons of each rough location I'd say its one of the better cities to live in on the east coast, you just need to shop around.

my 2c.
