And to those of you idiots who think 1010 isn't enough for a valid survey (which is is), they used 1500.
And to those of you who believe every poll is a rigged lib math game except Rasmussen... this is from Rasmussen.
Want to become a congressman in a conservative district?
Then perhaps you shouldn't run as a Republican. A national poll which gave respondents three choices -- to support a generic Democrat, Republican or Tea Party candidate -- put the Tea Party candidate over the Republican, 23 to 18 percent. Democrats led with 36 percent; 22 percent were undecided.
The Tea Party isn't even a real party. However, a few more polls like this and things might change.
The poll was published Monday by Rasmussen Reports and surveyed 1,500 Americans.

Good. We need to get rid of RINO's and of the GOP is going to be snowe/bush/mclame etc, it needs t go away.
DTOM Baby!

Tea parties all the way ;D

I have always believed the 2 party system is bullshit, we should have 4 or 5 to keep the fucking politicians as honest as can be expected from a politician

Yes, yes, and yes. The GOP is paying for its collective sins, and I love it.

It's a good thing for the republican party to go through some cleansing. You notice how we haven't heard nearly as much from the religious right these days? Seems that more republicans and their branches (ie tea party folks) are more concerned with economic issues, size of gov and personal freedoms. Focusing on those pillars may grant them more representation in 2010 and beyond.
I think more people are seeing the politicians who control washington right now are not moderate democrats and people are backing away.

The left would love to see a third party as it would guarantee their victory.Conservatives need to drive moderates OUT of the party.Let the McCains Lindsey Grahmnesty be democrats and lets get some conservatives in there.
-
That's true Billy. The republican party just needs to be more inclusive and change to accomodate tea party supporters. If the republican party would go back to it's roots, they would automatically be inclusive of limited gov fans.

i'm VERY happy when i hear true, educated repub voters like shoot1 or HH6 saying they want a qualified conservative (who isn't palin) in 2012.
The tea party voters are anti-obama and will show up (this tiem) no matter what. get a strong conservative who is qualified, and he/she will bring the tea party and GOP together.

Thune = religious (keeps the base and tea party), MBA (economics cred), Senate (lawmaking experience), can raise an ASS-load of $, huge advocate of corn and wind (energy!).
And he's a handsome man (no homo), which is needed these days.
He'd just need a VP with military and/or foreign policy experience. And he'd be clicking on every cylinder.
A very good choice. now you're talking, 33!

I don't know much about Thune....
I don't think Palin will run, I think she'll be a huge party organizer for 2012.
