kidney damage is due to diuretics and pain pills..... most bbers and pro wrestlers abuse those to feel ok or get in shape(yes wrestlers take diruretics when they are gonna be on tv.. i know models that take diuretics before a shoot to look leaner).. i thinhk the only steroid that kills kidneys is tren.... test and the rest dont damage it unless one heavily abuses orals

there is a lot of oral steroid abuse that could be attributed to this.

i have seen more than a few people run 150mg of anadrol a day for 10 weeks. assholes like them need to be weeded out anyways.

"The International Federation of Body Building and Fitness reserves the right to test for steroids and human growth hormone at the professional level, and testing is done on a random basis, said Bob Cicherillo, athlete representative for the federation, which is the main governing body for bodybuilding."

hahahahahah ;D

You have to admit...stories like this, just make you smile.  Eventually, there comes a time to pay the price.  Now all this bloke has is a box of $3 trophies and shitty health.
hahaha

He could have still looked just as bad off steroids, but he was terrified of failing on his own...just sad. ;)

if you ain't gonna be earning a ton of dough, then it's only worth damaging your health for bodybuilding if you end up freezing on stage, cause that looks pretty cool.

kidney damage is usually due to high blood pressure.   abuse of anabolic steroids can cause high blood pressure.

monitor your bp, cut back on the AS if it gets high

You need to make a Phil Plumbert method 2 video: the Aftermath, after you've been banned from all the casino's for winning so much.

I'm sure he was a confident man.  He was just trying to pass his natural limits and didn't want to rely on things like food, heart, and years of consistency.  He was a man we should all strive to be like, a warrior, a soldier, a drug addict.

As usual a stupid fucking article with zero science behind it.  Points to remember.......anabolic steroids both injectable and oral for the most part are metabolized by the liver.  Diuretics and pain killers are metabolized by the kidneys.  There are TONS of bodybuilders from the 60s and 70s who are well into old age that don't have kidney problems.  I'd say the biggest thing among bodybuilders is the pain killers and other drugs like benzos etc.  There are A LOT of bodybuilders who think pain killers like advil and shit are benign.  Look at Tom Prince.

Chick you're an idiot.  I mean come on dude....you're the mouthpiece for the IFBB and you comment on the testing they do yet you have no stats or numbers to back anything up.  Haha way to look like a fool.  You and everyone else knows the steroid and drug testing in pro bodybuilding is a fucking joke.

Can't deny this.

Chick will never bite the hand that feeds him......which is the very reason he is comprised as the athletes rep.....he's a mouthpiece of what  Manion wants.....not what is in the best interests of the athletes.....

Any article that quotes King Kamali loses all integrity.

“Each decade you have a guy that comes along that sets new standards and you say O.K., now I’m going to have to take it to the next level,” said Shahriar Kamali, a professional bodybuilder known as King.

I gave them numbers, they chose not to print them...because I didnt have a comprehensive list of names at my disposal at the time of the interview...they added their little disclaimer.

Anything to slant their point....
