Wait and suffer. You could do the hot/cold shower or jacuzzi thing but you're gonna be sore no matter what. My hamstrings are fucking killing me.

cardio, and lots of water. aspirin and caffeine helps right before or during cardio.
stay away from sugar and carbs too for a while, IMO. green veggies w/ every meal. take coral calcium at night
stay on a regular cardio routine. it helps.

DOMS is a term a lot of twink, know nothing new trainers use to show how smart they are ::)
HATE that fucking term!
It's called being sore and that's what weightlifting is all about, it means you did something right.
Ride out the pain and toughen the fuck up! >:(

DOMS is not an indicator of growth or impending growth, no.
I also agree that it's a stupid term.

Make sure you're stretching properly before and after training, take in plenty of protein, rest, and simply ride it out.

Roll on a foam roller and stretch.

Protein has nothing to do with. Workout harder and you will still get sore.
DOMS is normal for those of us who still workout hard enough.

I get pissed when I bust my ass in the gym and aint even sore the next day.....fuck I love being sore...and 90% of the time legs,arms,back,shoulders, or chest are sore at least once a week....

the times when I have abandoned cardio, and strictly weight trained, the soreness was almost unbearable, esp in my legs, & that would last 3-5 days. Lots of sugar/carbs in my diet seemed to exacerbate the problem, and also aggravates my joints. Too acidic I suppose.
when I keep regular moderate cardio as in, 3-4 Xs per week, 20-30 min each time (HIIT), I dont have near the muscle soreness. I might be a little tight the next day, but thats it.
The cardio, (oxygen) along with the extra water, is gonna help flush out the lactic acid buildup thats settled into the muscle tissue

What helps for soreness? More lifting.

I agree with you that cardio does help. Especially DOMS in the legs. Anything to get the blood flowing helps.

Go to the gym and hit the muscle group that you shoot.
