Why do men have nipples?

I'm not 100% positive but I think it's b/c female is the default gender when a fetus is developing. It's not until 7-8 wks after fertilization that a fetus with a normal functioning Y chromosome begins to take on male characteristics (e.g. the clitoris and vaginal folds become the penis and scrotum, respectively). Nipples on guys are mostly a remnant of early development.

yea I know, that's why I said WTF haha...  someone told me about some tribe were the males also breastfed their kids.

"It is well known that in the males of all mammals, including man, rudimentary mammae exist. These in several instances have become well developed, and have yielded a copious supply of milk. Their essential identity in the two sexes is likewise shewn by their occasional sympathetic enlargement in both during an attack of the measles."--C. Darwin

Because women do.

"There seems to be a logical explanation about why women have nipples - for babies. But why do men's bodies retain what appears to be redundant body parts? The Darwinian natural selection process would seem to dictate that male nipples really should not be there. So what's the deal? Why do men have nipples?

The answer is that as embryos men and women have similar tissues and body parts. If anything the embryo follows a 'female template'. That is why nipples are present in both sexes. It is the effect of the genes, the Y chromosome and the hormone testosterone that brings about the changes and masculinises the embryo. Testosterone promotes the growth of the penis and testicles. Because nipples are there before this process begins the nipples stay!"
